Assistant Technical Writer

Lima, Peru

As a Technical Writer (with AutoCAD/DFMEA experience), your primary responsibility is to create and maintain accurate technical documents, comprehensively defining Bradken's product specifications and usage guidelines. These documents, which include product, maintenance, and user manuals, as well as checklists, serve both our customer base and internal departments.

In your role, you will collaborate closely with internal departments such as order processing, inventory, and sales teams to create documentation that supports our Product Development systems and processes. Your involvement in system integration and changes will be crucial.

To excel in this position, strong design skills are essential. You will create presentations to support design reviews by stakeholders and draft technical documentation and manuals for both internal and external manufacturers. With your planning and organizational skills, you will ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and on time.

You will ensure that all work complies with industry standards, as well as Bradken's internal specifications, standards, and procedures for design and engineering work. You will work 100% remotely with an office in Surco available for meetings, being part of a dynamic global team that will provide daily support for solid growth with the business and reporting to Australia.

 

Key Technical Criteria

  • Bachelor's Degree or Technical Degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical or Metallurgy).

  • Relevant work experience in foundries, mining, or related industries. (Desirable)

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical document writing.

  • DFMEA, 2D/3D CAD skills. (Desirable)

  • Teamcenter software experience is considered a plus but not a requirement.

  • Proficiency in English and Spanish is essential (Intermediate English).

  • Proven track record in managing multiple projects, teams, and clients.

  • Experience in engineering projects, client sites, contractors, and research institutions.

This position will be remote located in Lima, Peru. (Surco Office hybrid options)
