What's the role:
You are more than a sales professional – you’re a trusted partner who builds strong, lasting relationships. As an Account Manager at Bradken, you’ll take charge of managing the profitability and growth of customer accounts within your sales region, supporting our mission to deliver value-driven solutions across the mining and manufacturing sectors.
You are someone who thrives on connecting with customers, understanding their needs, and translating that into measurable outcomes. You will engage regularly with clients to identify opportunities, drive satisfaction, and align their goals with Bradken’s products and services.
You are results-driven and commercially focused. You’ll develop and execute customer engagement plans using Salesforce, provide accurate forecasting, and support regional budgeting. Working closely with internal teams, you’ll play an active role in new product trials, customer feedback capture, sales process optimisation, and debtor management.
You are ready to contribute to our wider business growth. Whether it’s developing new business through prospecting, working alongside product development, or helping shape market strategies by providing key customer and competitor insights – your influence will matter.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage profitability and growth across customer accounts in your region.
- Build, maintain, and strengthen customer relationships aligned with business goals.
- Meet budgeted sales targets and prepare accurate forecasts and monthly reports.
- Use Salesforce to log site visits, track opportunities, and manage customer engagement plans.
- Support the sales team with product development ideas and trial planning.
- Collaborate with Sales Coordinators and other business units to optimise priorities and customer outcomes.
- Analyse market competition and collect feedback to inform product positioning.
- Ensure overdue invoices are addressed promptly via the debtors’ tool in Salesforce.
What You Bring:
- A technical trade background or tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering (desirable).
- 3 - 5 years experience in sales, preferably within the mining or industrial sector.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate.
- Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM systems, with competency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Commercial acumen, with experience in marketing strategies, sales planning, and budgeting.
- Willingness to travel regularly within your region.
