Your Mission 💪
As Configuration Engineer, you will carry out configuration services within our Configuration Centre in Hemel Hempstead. You will be accountable for carrying out various configuration activities for our customers, including hardware builds, software builds, asset tagging and various other activities as agreed with our customers. You will work closely with the warehouse team accepting goods-in to the config area before carrying out the build and configuration services, before passing back to warehouse for dispatch, and delivery. You will be responsible for meeting customer, quality, security and SLA expectations
What you’ll be doing 🎯
- Configure, build, and stage devices in line with customer requirements and SLAs
- Ensure all builds meet quality, security, and compliance standards before dispatch
- Manage the smooth flow between warehouse and configuration centre
- Process configuration requests accurately and maintain clear documentation
- Maintain stock accuracy and support dispatch readiness with warehouse teams
- Collaborate with operations and delivery teams to ensure on-time fulfilment
- Maintain audit trails and support internal and external audits
- Identify opportunities to improve build processes, tooling, and efficiency
- Support consistency and standardisation across configuration activities
- Contribute to the rollout of new configuration services
What experience we think you’ll need 🚀
- Experience in IT build, configuration, staging, or deployment environments
- Strong understanding of hardware lifecycle services (build, imaging etc)
- In-depth understanding of IT hardware and hand on experience with Intune & EndPoint is a must (SCCM and Jamf desirable)
- High attention to detail with a strong focus on quality
- Ability to manage workload effectively and work to SLAs
- Comfortable working independently with a proactive mindset
- Strong organisational and documentation skills
- Familiarity with service delivery or ITIL frameworks (desirable)
