Middle Legal Counsel | Head Office
Hi!
We are Boosta, a holding tech company that creates, develops, and invests in digital businesses with global potential. Today, we collaborate with over 800 specialists from different parts of the world, and millions of users use our products and services.
We are looking for a Middle Legal Counsel to support fast-moving digital subscription products and IT projects across multiple markets. The role combines commercial legal work, consumer and privacy compliance, platform and advertising requirements, and day-to-day legal support of assigned projects. You will work closely with Product, Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams, helping projects launch, scale, and stay compliant while keeping legal solutions practical and business-oriented.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- 2–5 years of experience in tech/digital business law, preferably with subscription-based digital products, IT startups, or similar online businesses.
- Drafting and negotiating core commercial agreements: MSAs, SOWs, SaaS/License Agreements, NDAs, DPAs, SLAs.
- Experience supporting KYC/KYB procedures for legal entities and their owners, including preparation and coordination of corporate and beneficial ownership documentation requested by banks, payment providers, platforms, and other counterparties.
- Policy work: Terms of Use, Privacy/Cookie Policies, Community/UGC policies, moderation and notice-and-takedown procedures.
- Consumer/advertising compliance for subscription-based products across their full lifecycle — onboarding, trials/auto-renewal, pricing, refunds, cancellations, promotions, and claims.
- Solid privacy knowledge (GDPR/UK GDPR, ePrivacy, CCPA/CPRA), DPIAs, SCCs, and DPA negotiations.
- IP basics (copyright/trademark, licensing) and UGC/DMCA workflows.
- Legal English (B2–C1); clear and practical legal drafting.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
- Provide day-to-day legal support for subscription-based projects — from onboarding a new project (reviewing the business model, subscription flow, and required disclosures before launch) through its ongoing operation. Complex, high-risk, or non-standard matters are escalated to the relevant Team Lead where appropriate.
- Own privacy & consumer-protection compliance for digital products across key markets (GDPR/UK GDPR/ePrivacy, CCPA/CPRA, FTC/UCPD).
- Design and maintain consent/cookie and user-rights (DSR) flows; manage CMP configuration and cookie taxonomies with Product/Engineering.
- Manage cross-border transfers (SCCs/TIAs) and vendor processing terms; keep auditable records and evidence packs.
- Lead App Store/Google Play compliance: prep/review submissions (metadata, screenshots, disclosures, age ratings), enforce IAP/auto-renew rules, handle review feedback and rejections.
- Govern advertising-platform compliance (Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, etc.): pre-clear creatives/claims/LPs, targeting/age-gating, appeal and enforcement handling; keep a living policy tracker.
- Approve consumer disclosures: trials/auto-renewal, pricing, refunds/cancellations, promotions and claims; ensure clear T&Cs and UI copy.
- Oversee affiliate/UGC standards: moderation, notice-and-takedown, repeat-infringer policy; audit affiliates/partners for compliance.
- Establish first-line controls for new and live subscription projects: checklists, pre-launch approvals, monitoring dashboards; document issues and corrective actions.
- Triage incidents (privacy, store/ad policy, consumer complaints); lead root-cause analysis and notifications with Legal/DPO as required.
- Track and report KPIs.
