What is this role about?

We are seeking a dynamic Head of Expansion to lead our efforts in entering new markets and scaling our operations across multiple regions. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and researching the most promising markets for expansion and ensuring that all entry strategies are thoroughly planned and executed. As a leader, you will define our business model for each new market by navigating through local regulatory frameworks, securing necessary licenses, and establishing legal entities.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Conduct market research and compile a pipeline of the most promising countries for expansion.
• Define the project scope and create detailed plans (including necessary stages) for entering each market.
• Ensure adherence to the company’s playbook and standardized processes across all new markets.
• Prioritize tasks and manage the work of cross-functional teams, including making decisions on required localizations.
• Develop entry plans for each country, including obtaining relevant licenses, setting up legal entities, and defining the business model to launch in each country’s regulatory framework.
• Form and lead the collaboration of country-specific teams to ensure smooth scaling across markets.

What would ensure success in this role?

• Demonstrate strong business acumen with a proven track record of driving new markets to profitability.
• Lead multiple cross-functional teams across various functions, including product, engineering, legal, marketing, credit risk, and collections.
• Knowledge of the consumer credit industry, with expertise in marketing, credit risk, and collections, is particularly advantageous.
• Set and track milestones and KPIs while aligning goals across the organization.
• Manage projects and processes exceptionally, ensuring smooth execution and timely delivery.
• Solve abstract problems to navigate complex challenges.
• Analyze data and use a data-driven approach to decision-making and strategy development.
