Production Manager

As a key member of the Operations team, the Production Manager plays a critical role in the industrialization and manufacturing of high-performance battery packs for Motorsport, Automotive, Marine and Aerospace. This role involves strategic leadership in establishing and scaling Bold’s capabilities.

 

Responsibilities

  • Production Planning and Scheduling
    • Develop and implement production schedules to meet manufacturing targets.
    • Ensures the availability of materials, equipment, and personnel to meet the production goals.
  • Ownership & Leadership
    • Oversee production operations, including the development of processes, procedures, and technologies.
    • Lead and grow the production team
    • Work closely with engineering, quality, purchasing and the required stakeholders to ensure electrification projects are industrialized on time and meet the standards.
  • Production knowledge
    • Maintain a deep understanding of product designs to guide decisions that optimize manufacturability.
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Ensure that all production operations comply with safety and environment regulations.
    • Implement safety protocols to minimize risks and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Drive initiatives to enhance production quality, cost efficiency, and delivery timelines.
    • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders to support improvements.
  • Scaling Production
    • Define and implement systems and processes to accommodate increasing production volumes and complexity.

 

  • Performance Metrics:
    • Establish procedures and metrics for quality, productivity and overall performance improvements.

Minimum qualifications, skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • At least 10 years of experience managing one or multiple production sites.
  • Proven track record of leading production teams in high-growth environments.
  • Experience in designing and implementing Health & Safety (H&S) standards, especially concerning high voltage hazards.
  • Leadership: proven leadership skills, with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Hands-on approach with can-do attitude
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.

Desirable skills and additional experience

  • Industry knowledge and experience: in Electric Vehicle (EV) sector.
  • Technical Experience: background in battery pack manufacturing, especially with various cell types and architectures.
  • Standards knowledge: familiarity with Automotive industry standards at the production level.
  • Startup experience: experience in a fast-paced, small-team environment.

Additional requirements

  • Overtime and flexibility will be required when project or customer needs additional support.
