Role Summary:

As Global Head of Field Services you’re responsible for the safety, efficiency and customer satisfaction of Blue Wireless field services which are delivered in over 60 countries globally. Field Services are an essential aspect of Service Delivery and In-Life Support in Blue Wireless include all on-site activities such as installation of routers, cabling and Starlink panels, but also break/fix and deinstall activities. Majority of the services is executed by 3rd party contractors, but also by own staff. The objective is to professionalize the function, by improving the quality and safety of the activities on site, by enhancing training-, documentation- and process. The goal is to build a scalable, globally consistent, high-quality field service capability that delivers installations faster, cheaper, and with higher customer satisfaction than competitors.

Key Responsibilities:

Field Service Processes

  • Manage the global field services aspects of Blue Wireless, which includes site surveys, service installations, on-site in-life support.
  • Create, improve and communicate field service processes, including scope of work
  • Work on improving automation and inclusion into Service Delivery and Support Processes
  • Handle escalations of Field Service activities and manage through resolution.

Contractor Management

  • Work with Procurement on finding and contracting Field Service providers
  • Manage the relationship with contractors who provide field services for Blue Wireless
  • Provide training and procedures for 3rd parties and ensure compliance to our requirements
  • Establish processes to manage certifications, insurances and other documents

Quality & Safety

  • Be the champion for Health & Safety across Blue Wireless, lead programs, training, raise awareness and manage a risk register
  • Be the champion for Quality across Blue Wireless, lead programs, training and raise awareness.
  • Lead compliance and certification initiatives such as ISO 45001 or other standards to implement industry best practices. This should include Audit programs, tracking safety metrics and taking corrective action where needed.

If you-

  • Experienced in Field Services or Safety operations
  • Familiar with quality and safety processes
  • Able to work across multiple functional teams, supporting and guiding them
  • Minimal 10 years of experience in business environment.
  • Understanding of global IT services and enterprise customer requirements.
  • Understanding of networking technologies (IP networking, 5G, LEO satellite connectivity, enterprise WAN) is an advantage
  • Experience working with technology vendors, professional service companies, and regulatory environments across multiple regions.
  • Advanced degree (MSc or equivalent) desirable.
