We are seeking an experienced IT and Security Specialist to join our team at SSV.network. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing IT infrastructure across both Mac and Windows environments, along with robust cybersecurity expertise. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity, availability, and security of our systems and network.
Key Responsibilities:
- IT Management:
- Manage and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, including both Mac and Windows workstations, servers, and networking equipment.
- Educate staff on data security policies and procedures, with emphasis on security.
- Implement and manage data backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Provide technical support to the team ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems, security protocols, and procedures, covering both Mac and Windows environments.
- IT assets / SAAS management and tracking.
- Security:
- Develop, implement and maintain security protocols to protect data and IT assets.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Monitor security alerts and logs, respond to incidents, and implement corrective actions.
- Manage firewalls, antivirus software, and other security-related systems.
- Vendor Management:
- Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT administration and cybersecurity
- In-depth knowledge of both macOS and Windows, including deployment, management, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of networking technologies (ex: TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).
- Proficiency in cybersecurity tools and techniques (ex: Firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM)
- Data protection and disaster recovery planning in mixed OS environments.
- Familiarity with compliance standards such as GDPR, ISO 27001, etc.
- Scripting knowledge (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python) is a plus, especially for automation across both macOS and Windows.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, Apple Certified Support Professional, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) are highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience with cloud security and management - Advantage
- Previous experience in a high-security environment or industry - Advantage
