Your mission

You will support Third-Party Risk Management and Outsourcing activities for Bitpanda’s regulated German entity. You are a ‘second-line’ (2LOD) officer responsible for assisting in the implementation, maintenance, and operation of the outsourcing framework in line with German regulatory requirements (DORA and MaRisk).

You will monitor material and non-material outsourcing arrangements and support oversight of third-party risks. Responsibilities will include ensuring agreements, SLAs, KRIs, and KPIs are properly documented and maintained in accordance with local regulations. The role will also involve reviewing and analysing documentation, assisting in the preparation of reports, and supporting the assessment of new third-party services.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders such as Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Technology, and liaise with external stakeholders, including regulators, where necessary.

What you’ll do

  • Support the development and ongoing maintenance of Bitpanda’s outsourcing and third-party framework for the German entity, including documentation, assessments, and reporting.
  • Provide ‘second-line’ review and challenge of material outsourcing arrangements in line with DORA  and MaRisk requirements.
  • Maintain the outsourcing register of information for the German entity, ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor third-party risk and adherence across the third-party lifecycle, from onboarding and assessment to monitoring and exit planning.
  • Assist with preparing reports and management information for internal and regulatory purposes.
  • Provide support to business partners on outsourcing processes, policies, and standards in line with regulatory expectations.

Who you are

  • Solid knowledge of Outsourcing and Third-Party Risk Management, with a strong understanding of MaRisk and DORA requirements.
  • Experience in supporting outsourcing or risk management frameworks within financial services or regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with managing third-party relationships, including service documentation, SLAs, and reporting requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • 3–5 years of experience in outsourcing, risk management, or compliance within a regulated financial services environment.
