Your Mission
As an AFC Compliance Intern in the Business Advisory Team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the AFC Compliance Department by assisting with establishing and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs), reviewing compliance controls, and proposing improvements to maintain a risk-based approach. This position will enable you to gain hands-on experience in anti-financial crime compliance operations, data-driven insights, and regulatory practices within the financial and virtual asset sectors.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in the monitoring and analysis of AFC compliance-related KPIs to ensure they reflect accurate risk management strategies and regulatory.
- Help ensure compliance activities, especially around Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF), and sanctions, are optimised to reflect a risk-based approach.
- Collaborate with the team to develop reporting templates, dashboard insights, and analytical tools that enhance decision-making processes in the AFC Compliance Department.
- Prepare high-quality reports and slides showcasing critical data analysis, trends, and insights for senior management and compliance teams.
- Participate in compliance projects and contribute to the strategic planning of the AFC department's efforts to prevent financial crime.
Who You Are
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail, able to work with large data sets and generate insights.
- Skilled in preparing slides and visual presentations that communicate critical data analysis effectively for internal reporting.
- Practical experience with data tools like Excel and/or SQL. Experience with Snowflake or Python is a plus.
- Interested in anti-financial crime topics, especially regarding anti-money laundering, terrorism financing and fraud.
- Interest in learning about the monitoring and enhancement of compliance KPIs within a regulated financial environment.
- Team player with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
