Your work will be highly visible across Engineering, Product and Design, and GTM teams as we continue to scale globally.

You will work closely with the engineering and product teams aligned within Growth. Our teams work primarily in Go, TypeScript and React. You will report to and collaborate with the Engineering Manager assigned to your team.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, implement, and own high‑throughput Go services that manage subscription lifecycle, payment orchestration, and financial data pipelines.
  • Integrate and maintain connections with external billing platforms, ensuring accuracy, resilience, and regulatory compliance.
  • Continuously collaborate with a diverse organization of value-driven individuals to understand the goals, needs, and priorities of our users.
  • Turn your understanding of our systems into thoughtful, well-tested and scalable solutions easily managed by your fellow engineers.
  • Advance our payment platform by contributing to modernization initiatives and shaping the technical roadmap for payments.
  • Own reliability & performance of payment services, employing automated testing, monitoring, and alerting to meet stringent SLAs.
  • Provide mentorship and support to Mid-level Engineers on your team to help them grow in technical competence, ensure code quality for owned services, and remove blockers for the team.

Who You Are

  • You have extensive experience in back‑end engineering and designing and scaling distributed systems in production.
  • You have expert-level proficiency in Golang, with a strong track record of shipping high-throughput APIs and writing understandable, testable, and efficient code.
  • You have hands-on experience integrating and operating Zuora (REST APIs, product catalog, invoice & tax logic) and Stripe (Payments/Connect, webhooks, retries, refunds).
  • You are curious about the potential of AI and have hands-on experience exploring or integrating AI-powered tools or workflows to improve product quality, automation, or developer productivity.
  • You have experience working in cloud-native environments and an understanding of how cloud platforms and modern infrastructure support scalable, reliable systems..
  • You are comfortable collaborating in an agile, experiment‑driven environment and communicating clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • You are passionate in writing clean, observable, and well‑tested code; strong advocate for continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • You are familiar with relevant tools and technologies and have the drive to stay up-to-date with ongoing changes and advancements.
  • You take the initiative in addressing issues or seeking support from fellow team members.
  • You have experience with and are a proponent of automated testing.
  • You have experience using a flavor of version control — we use git and Github to collaborate and manage pull requests.

Bonus Points (Optional)

  • You have experience with python.
  • You led or participated in migrations from legacy billing systems.
  • You have experience with data warehousing & analytics (BigQuery, dbt, Looker) to support finance and growth reporting.
