Your role in our team:
We are looking for a Distributor Manager with a strong background in Distributor Management in life science product sales. The individual will be responsible for establishing and managing the indirect selling of bit.bio’s iPSC-derived cell products for basic research and drug discovery purposes (e.g., Pharma, Biotech, and contract research organisations) through both existing and new distribution & channel partners. The successful candidate will be reporting to our commercial leadership.
The position will be ideally based at the Cambridge offices of Bit Bio Ltd., with regular travel to directly support distributors in key regions, globally.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Develop and implement a distributor & channel strategy complementary to sales strategy for direct regions.
- Drive the global revenue where a channel or distributor partner is needed.
- Develop, implement and drive the distributor growth strategy for off the shelf iPSC derived cell types and disease models within the Drug Discovery and Life science sectors.
- Build optimal relationships with distributors, working with them as an extension of the bit.bio teams.
- Proactively manage distributor performance, including regular pipeline reviews for reporting, forecasting and inventory purposes.
- Work closely with the Marketing Department, feedback the voice of the customer that supports our marketing efforts.
- Work closely with marketing and product managers to effectively support the growth of ioCell products and build brand awareness in distributor markets.

- Will have a minimum degree qualification (BSc Hons Science) or equivalent experience with a specific background in Cell or Molecular Biology or related discipline.
- Have the ability to work effectively as part of an International, National and Regional team and exhibit strong interpersonal skills.
- Interact in a proactive way through building trust with technical and marketing teams at bit.bio.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively, build relationships and rapport with a wide range of customer types in different regions to drive optimal performance.
- Are organised, detailed-orientated with a good command of English, written and verbal.
- Are able to travel globally up to 50% of the time.
With essential experience in…
- Proven commercial experience in the related Life Science distribution sector, ideally with experience of selling cell-based products or biological tools & reagents.
- Understanding and ability to navigate the regional complexities of selling human cell products in LATAM, EMEA and APAC.
- Knowledgeable and experienced in identifying pain points of biotech, pharma, CROs and academic customers in the Territory.
- Solid technical scientific background and an understanding of induced pluripotent cells (iPSCs) and their role in drug discovery.
- Excellent communicator able to deliver compelling and engaging presentations and demonstrate an ability to simplify complex science and position key selling points to distributor teams.
- Knowledgeable and good level of competence with HubSpot database or equivalent CRM to manage sales process and provide accurate distributor sales pipeline.

- Fluency in languages in addition to English would be an advantage.
- MSc /PhD in Life Sciences discipline is desirable.
