What will you do as New Business Hunter?
As New Business Hunter, you’re not stepping into a predictable sales engine, instead you’re helping build that engine in a market that’s still forming. Our ambitions are BIG, and in the coming years, we aim to grow and establish ourselves as a "force to be reckoned with" in the European market of Battery Energy Storage Solutions (BESS). As a key player of our team you'll have the power to engage and energize the prospects you encounter, driving enthusiasm for Big Ass Battery. Your focus is on expanding our customer base within our target markets in the Netherlands and in the near future in Europe.
- Identify, hunt down and chase new business—pick up the phone and start dialing
- Craft and execute killer sales strategies to smash our targets
- Wow potential clients with awesome presentations
- Team up with our tech team to ensure smooth project rollouts
- Negotiate and seal deals, making sure everything is on point
- Keep an eye on market trends and relay this back to our management team
- Track your sales performance and tweak strategies for maximized results
- Track evolving market sentiment and continuously adapt your approach
- Represent us at industry events, trade shows, and conferences—be our Big Ass ambassador
- Keep detailed records of your sales activities and client encounters in Salesforce
What do we expect you'll bring to Big Ass Battery?
Let's state the obvious: you have a passion for sales, cold acquisition, and gathering new business. You have experience in B2B sales, preferably with a technical product where software plays a big role. You have dealt with larger and complex sales processes with technical complexity but also concerning the big bucks. You are ambitious, open-minded, communicative, and above all, authentic! You work solution-oriented, think creatively, and are incredibly results-oriented. You are like the Michael Jordan of sales and your catch phrase should be:
“I’ve lost more deals than I’ve closed. I’ve heard ‘no’ more times than I can count. I’ve chased leads that went nowhere and followed up when others gave up. And that’s exactly why I win."

- Excellent Dutch and English skills; a third language is a plus (e.g., German, French)
