About the Role 

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer II (Web) to help shape and scale modern web experiences across our products. This role is ideal for an engineer who combines strong technical depth with a high degree of ownership, moves quickly, and operates with very little oversight. 

You will lead the design and delivery of performant, scalable, and maintainable web applications, working primarily across TypeScript, React, and modern frontend tooling. You will play a key role in evolving our web platform, frontend architecture, design system implementation, CI/CD practices, and developer workflows — including effective use of AI-assisted coding to accelerate delivery and raise engineering quality. 

This is a senior individual contributor role with broad influence across architecture, engineering standards, and execution. 

What You Will Do 

1- Web Architecture and Platform 

• Design and build scalable, maintainable, and high-performance web applications using TypeScript and React.  

• Drive frontend architecture decisions across application structure, state management, component patterns, build tooling, and deployment workflows.  

• Work with modern tooling such as Vite and Webpack to improve developer experience, build performance, and production reliability.  

• Help evolve shared frontend foundations including design systems, reusable component libraries, and platform standards.  

2- Product Development 

• Build polished, responsive, and accessible user interfaces with strong attention to usability, visual quality, and performance.  

• Develop reusable UI components and application features using React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS.  

• Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and services in a clean and maintainable way.  

• Contribute across the full delivery lifecycle, from technical discovery and implementation to release and iteration.  

3- Performance and Quality 

• Identify and resolve bottlenecks related to rendering, bundle size, loading speed, and runtime performance.  

• Champion best practices in web performance, accessibility, maintainability, and testability.  

• Improve engineering quality through robust CI/CD pipelines, code review standards, and practical testing strategies.  

4- Engineering Excellence 

• Contribute to and improve CI/CD workflows that support fast, safe, and reliable releases.  

• Use AI-assisted coding tools effectively to accelerate development, improve implementation quality, and streamline repetitive engineering work.  

• Introduce tools, patterns, and workflows that improve team velocity and long-term code health.  

• Mentor other engineers through technical guidance, thoughtful reviews, and strong engineering example-setting.  

5- Collaboration and Ownership 

• Partner closely with product, design, and backend engineering to turn business needs into scalable web solutions.  

• Take ownership of problems end-to-end, from identifying opportunities through shipping and follow-through.  

• Operate with a high level of independence, urgency, and accountability.  

• Proactively raise issues, suggest improvements, and help the team move faster with confidence.  

What You Will Need

Must-Have Experience 

• Strong professional experience building production web applications with TypeScript, JavaScript, and React.  

• Deep understanding of modern frontend engineering, including component architecture, state management, browser behavior, and API integration.  

• Hands-on experience with modern bundlers and tooling such as Vite and/or Webpack.  

• Strong experience with Tailwind CSS and building or contributing to design systems on the web.  

• Proven ability to improve and maintain CI/CD pipelines and frontend delivery workflows.  

• Strong understanding of web performance, including Core Web Vitals, bundle optimization, rendering performance, and frontend observability.  

• Meaningful experience using AI-assisted coding in day-to-day development workflows.  

• Track record of delivering high-quality products with a strong sense of ownership and independence.  

• Ability to move fast, make sound technical decisions, and balance speed with quality.  

Nice-to-Have Experience 

• Experience with Next.js and/or Astro.  

• Experience integrating with Storyblok or other headless CMS platforms.  

• Experience with end-to-end testing, especially Playwright.  

• Experience working in a monorepo environment.  

• Experience building multi-tenant or whitelabel products.  

• Familiarity with SSR, SSG, and hybrid rendering architectures.  

• Experience working across multiple brands, markets, or product surfaces from a shared platform.
