Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to lead our hybrid technology environment. This role is a blend of cloud architecture, high-speed networking, and modern data protection. You will be responsible for the health of our enterprise network (Cisco Meraki, Fortinet), the efficiency of our Azure/M365 and VMware environments, and the absolute integrity of our data via Veeam.

A key objective is to champion "Self-Service IT" by creatively leveraging Microsoft Copilot and automation (Python, PowerShell), streamlining processes such as onboarding/offboarding, and applying innovative problem-solving to enhance operational efficiency.

Core Responsibilities

AI-Powered IT Operations & Automation

• Onboarding Automation: Design and maintain "Zero-Touch" provisioning workflows. Utilize Microsoft Copilot and Power Automate to link HR triggers to automated M365 licensing and hardware enrollment.
• Infrastructure Scripting: Develop and audit automation scripts using Python, Bash, and PowerShell to streamline infrastructure rollouts and automate routine health checks.
• Operational Efficiency: Deploy, configure, and maintain IT management and infrastructure platforms (Endpoint management, infra security, ITSM) in both cloud and on-premises environments. 
   

Enterprise Networking & Security

• Network Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain high-availability enterprise networks across on-prem and data center environments.
• Advanced Routing & Switching: Configure and manage L2/L3 switches and routers (Cisco, Juniper, Arista) with expertise in BGP, OSPF, MPLS, trunking, and port security.
• Network Hardening: Implement hardening controls including ACLs, VLAN segmentation, VPNs (IPsec/SSL), and Zero Trust architecture using Cisco Meraki and Fortinet firewalls.
• Proactive Testing: Conduct authorized internal stress tests across networks, wireless segments, edge devices, and infrastructure systems to ensure resilience.

Virtualization & Hybrid Cloud Administration

• VMware Management: Manage VMware vSphere environments (ESXi, vCenter, NSX, vMotion) and harden hypervisors for secure VM operations.
• Azure & M365: Lead the administration of Azure (VMs, VNETs, Storage) and M365 suite. Focus on cost optimization and resource rights-sizing.
• AWS Basics: Maintain foundational AWS components (EC2, S3, VPC) to support multi-cloud initiatives.

Data Protection & Disaster Recovery (Veeam)

• Veeam Backup & Replication: Architect and manage the Veeam environment. Ensure 100% backup success rates for on-premises VMs and cloud workloads.
• Ransomware Resilience: Implement Immutable Backups and "Air-Gapped" storage strategies.
• DR Testing: Lead quarterly Disaster Recovery drills, ensuring RTO and RPO targets are met.

Expectations (Scope & Impact)

• Strategic & Architectural Guidance: Provide high-level guidance to infrastructure, operations, data, and network teams. You own the roadmaps for M365, Azure, Veeam, and the physical network.
• Security Collaboration: Partner with Security teams for full vulnerability lifecycle management, from discovery and exploitation to remediation and validation.
• Policy & Governance: Review current corporate policies and help redefine policies and procedures to align with modern infrastructure standards.
• Incident Leadership: Act as the Tier 3 escalation point for complex outages, conducting deep-dive Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Mentorship: Bridge the gap for L1/L2 teams by creating AI-assisted runbooks and providing hands-on training on new automation tools.

Experience & Certifications

• Experience: 5+ years in IT Infrastructure, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience managing M365, VMware environments, and enterprise-grade networking. 
• AI Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT) to streamline scripting, documentation, and incident response. 
• Certification (Good to have it):
• Veeam: VMCE (Veeam Certified Engineer).
• Microsoft: AZ-104 (Azure Administrator) or MS-102 (M365 Lead).
• Cisco/Networking: CCNA/CCNP, CMNA (Meraki), or JNCIA (Juniper).
• Virtualization: VCP (VMware Certified Professional).
