Role Purpose
As a Finance and Accounting Specialist, you will play a key role in establishing and managing the financial operations of our new entity in Pakistan. Your work will ensure the smooth handling of invoicing, payments, reconciliations, intercompany postings, monthly financial reporting and tax compliance while also supporting IFRS audits and management reporting.
In your first year, you will be responsible for establishing all financial processes, aligning them with company objectives to build a robust and efficient financial framework. This role will require streamlining financial workflows, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and optimizing reporting mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Maintain complete financial records, including journals, ledgers, and financial statements (balance sheet, income statement and cash flow) for the local entity.
- Process accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP), ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
- Oversee tax returns and ensure full compliance with local tax regulations and accounting standards.
- Assist with audits, collaborating closely with external auditors, tax authorities, and HQ finance teams.
- Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and business planning.
- Maintain intercompany reconciliations and manage financial transactions across different entities.
- Work closely with the HQ finance team, local operations, and technology teams in Pakistan to align financial processes.
- Lead the setup of local financial processes, ensuring seamless integration with company objectives.
- Participate in the implementation of SAP, ensuring smooth adoption and compliance with reporting standards.
- Regularly coordinate with HQ finance to ensure accurate reporting and regulatory alignment.
Qualifications & Attributes
Education & Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Preferred: ACCA and/or CPA certification.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Industry background: Open to various industries, but experience in the tech sector is a plus.
Technical Skills
Must-haves:
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting principles.
- Experience with accounting ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Expertise in local tax compliance and regulatory requirements.
Nice-to-haves:
- Prior experience in a multinational company.
- Familiarity with SAP and financial system implementations.
- Understanding of cross-charging and intercompany financial processes.
Unique Attributes & Soft Skills
- Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
- Cross-functional collaboration skills to work effectively with HQ and local teams.
