Why This Role Matters
As a Commercial Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in optimizing our commercial operations performance. You will be responsible for analyzing business data, driving strategic initiatives, and providing actionable insights to senior leadership. Your work will directly impact our commercial strategy, efficiency, and overall business performance.
Key Outcomes Within 6–12 Months:
- Establish a structured commercial performance reporting framework.
- Deliver data-driven insights that enhance business decision-making.
- Improve forecasting accuracy and efficiency across commercial operations.
What You Will Do
Performance Reporting & Business Analysis
- Prepare and manage regular commercial performance reports, including operational KPIs, market analysis, and strategic insights.
- Analyze business data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights to leadership.
- Develop custom reports to support business units with ad-hoc analysis and reporting needs.
Strategic Planning & Forecasting
- Lead the strategic planning and forecasting processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align business targets and objectives.
- Utilize historical data and market insights to create accurate forecasts and scenario analysis.
- Monitor business performance against plans and forecasts, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
Business Modelling & Commercial Insights
- Support strategic initiatives by providing in-depth business analysis and recommendations.
- Develop models to assess business opportunities, risks, and potential growth areas.
- Provide insights to support strategic decision-making and long-term planning.
Data Visualization & Presentation
- Utilize advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, etc.) to analyze large datasets and generate meaningful insights.
- Create business models, dashboards, and custom tools to support data-driven decision-making.
- Prepare visually compelling presentations for senior management, summarizing key business insights and recommendations.
- Present complex data in a simplified, concise, and impactful manner using charts, graphs, and storytelling techniques.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with finance, operations, and strategy teams to ensure alignment on business goals and reporting requirements.
- Act as the point of contact for business planning-related reporting and analysis.
What You Will Need
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in reporting, financial analysis, or business planning, ideally in the telecom sector.
Skills & Capabilities:
✔ Technical Skills:
- Expert-level proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, data modeling).
- Strong experience with forecasting, commercial modeling, and scenario analysis.
- Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to create high-impact reports using PowerPoint or similar tools.
✔ Analytical & Business Acumen:
- Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Experience in strategic planning and performance management.
✔ Collaboration & Communication:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
