About the Role

The Senior Finance Controller will spearhead financial management and strategic planning for FRiENDi Pay, ensuring efficient operations, robust compliance, and alignment with Beyond ONE’s overarching financial goals. This role spans a variety of fintech verticals, including Payment Service Provider (PSP), Peer-to-Peer (P2P), International Remittance, and Payment Gateway (PG). Close collaboration with Beyond ONE HQ is required to manage treasury, budgeting, and financial reporting.

The position demands a balance of strategic vision and hands-on management to support FRiENDi Pay’s growth trajectory and operational efficiency, making it critical for achieving revenue, profitability, and compliance objectives.

What You Will Do

  • Strategic Financial Management
    • Develop and implement financial strategies that align with FRiENDi Pay’s business goals.
    • Create and refine financial models across core fintech verticals, including PSP, P2P, PG, and International Remittance.
    • Lead annual and long-term budgeting processes, ensuring alignment with Beyond ONE’s financial objectives.
    • Monitor and enhance profitability, ensuring adherence to revenue and earnings targets.
    • Provide oversight for compliance with Central Bank of Oman (CBO) regulations and related statutory requirements.
  • Financial Operations
    • Manage day-to-day finance operations, including reconciliation, settlements, and financial reporting.
    • Supervise treasury operations to optimize cash flow and ensure proper fund allocation.
    • Oversee pricing strategies for international remittance and currency exchange margins.
    • Ensure accuracy in financial closings (monthly, quarterly, and annual).
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Partner with Compliance and Risk teams to ensure adherence to AML/KYC standards and audit readiness.
    • Develop and enforce internal financial controls to minimize operational risks.
  • Team Leadership
    • Build and lead a high-performing finance team focused on reconciliation, treasury, and financial analysis.
    • Mentor and develop team members, aligning individual and organizational goals.
  • Coordination with HQ
    • Act as the primary liaison with Beyond ONE HQ’s Finance Director, Treasury, Budgeting Team, and CFO.
    • Drive cross-border collaboration on strategic initiatives, financial reporting consolidation, and cash flow optimization.

What You Will Need

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; advanced certifications (CPA, CFA, ACCA) preferred.

  • Experience:
    • Minimum 7 years in financial management, ideally in fintech or financial services.
    • Proven experience with banking operations, back-office functions, and reconciliation with regulatory bodies.
    • Familiarity with Central Bank interactions and reporting systems.
  • Skills
    • Strong analytical and strategic planning capabilities, with attention to detail.
    • Expertise in financial software, multi-currency accounting, and IFRS standards, particularly for fintech.
    • Exceptional leadership and communication skills for team management and cross-functional collaboration.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Other Qualifications
    • In-depth knowledge of fintech operations and their impact on accounting principles and financial management.
    • Proficiency in financial reporting frameworks (IFRS, GAAP) and compliance with fintech-specific complexities, including transaction-based revenue models and multi-currency operations.
