About the role:

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Trade Marketing Manager for Mexico. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing trade marketing strategies that drive brand presence, customer engagement, and sales performance across various retail channels. This role is critical in bridging the gap between sales and brand marketing, requiring a balance of strategic insight and hands-on execution to drive increased demand and achieve business objectives.

What you will do:

  • Develop and implement trade marketing plans for Mexico, focusing on enhancing brand visibility, driving customer engagement, and increasing sales across all retail channels.
  • Work closely with in-market sales and the Marketing team to ensure that marketing efforts are synchronized with sales objectives, customer needs, and regional priorities. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key channel partners, including retailers, distributors, and wholesalers, to ensure effective implementation of trade marketing strategies.
  • Plan and execute trade marketing campaigns, including in-store promotions, point-of-sale (POS) materials, product displays, and retail events.
  • Analyze local data from trade marketing reports, retail audits, and customer sales to inform and refine channel-specific trade marketing plans. Leverage insights on route-to-market strategies, shopper behaviour, and local cultural trends to create programs with strong local relevance.
  • Lead and coordinate trade marketing activities across multiple channels in the region, ensuring consistent brand image and maximizing sales. Drive portfolio merchandising, visibility, and point-of-sale (POS) initiatives to outperform competitors in brand image and innovation.
  • Develop and manage a network of local suppliers and agencies to deliver best-in-class executions and marketing materials while maximizing cost efficiencies. Oversee the production and implementation of creative artwork and other marketing materials.
  • Establish and track relevant trade marketing KPIs that align with business priorities. Deliver robust, innovative, and high-quality launch and activation programs, and provide detailed reporting on campaign performance and results.
  • Plan and execute offline marketing campaigns and events designed to attract new business connections. Coordinate with sales teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution at the point of sale.
  • Efficiently manage trade marketing budgets, allocating resources to high-impact initiatives that drive revenue growth. Conduct frequent market visits and collaborate with sales teams to identify opportunities for further growth.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. 
  • 4+ years of experience in trade marketing, retail marketing, or a related field,
  • In-depth understanding of route-to-market strategies, shopper behaviour, and local cultural trends in the region.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage suppliers and agencies, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective executions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Passion for innovation, with a keen eye on market trends and customer insights.
