About the Role

As a Mid-Level UI/UX Designer at Beyond ONE, you will be crucial in shaping the user experience and visual design of our market-leading brands, including Virgin Mobile, Friendi Mobile, and Friendi Pay. You will collaborate with stakeholders from different countries, including Product Managers, to understand requirements and deliver outstanding user flows, wireframes, and UI designs that elevate our digital presence.

What You Will Do

  • Understand and Translate Requirements: Collaborate with stakeholders, including Product Managers and other team members, to gather and analyze business and user requirements, translating them into adequate user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs.
  • Create User-Centric Designs: Design intuitive and engaging user interfaces that align with our users' needs and expectations, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable user experience.
  • Utilize Design Tools: Leverage industry-standard design tools like Figma Design, FigJam, and Miro to create, iterate, and share your designs efficiently and collaboratively.
  • Conduct User Research: Perform user research to gather insights on user behavior, preferences, and pain points. Create personas and journey maps to inform design decisions and validate your solutions through usability testing.
  • Prototype and Test: Develop interactive prototypes to test and iterate on design concepts, gathering feedback from users and stakeholders to refine and improve the designs.
  • Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other designers, to ensure cohesive and consistent design output across different markets.
  • Maintain Design Systems: Develop and maintain design systems, ensuring consistency in visual design and user experience across all platforms and products.
  • Support Junior Designers: Provide mentoring and guidance to junior designers, helping them grow and improve their skills.

What You Will Need

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in UI/UX design, particularly in B2C environments.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and present your ideas.
    • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma Design, FigJam, and Miro.
    • Ability to conduct user research, create personas, and develop user flows and wireframes.
    • Expertise in creating high-fidelity UI designs that are both visually appealing and user-friendly.
    • Experience in motion design and creating micro-interactions is highly desirable.
    • Ability to support and mentor junior designers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
  • Other Qualifications: A portfolio showcasing your UI/UX design work and highlighting your process and problem-solving skills.
