Senior Commercial Finance Manager

As a key member of the Commercial Finance team, the Senior Commercial Finance Manager will establish business partnering and FP&A reporting in high-impact business areas, ensuring finance is embedded in key decision-making and driving business optimisation..

This is a highly strategic role and calls on someone who is comfortable making sound decisions in uncertain situations, quickly connecting disparate data points, and able to find practical solutions when perfect information isn’t available.

So, what will you be doing?

  • Strengthen finance’s influence in key business areas by embedding financial insight into decision-making.
  • Identify and drive major opportunities for business optimisation, providing strategic insights and challenging assumptions.
  • Lead ROI analysis, investment appraisals, and incrementality analysis, ensuring initiatives are backed by robust financial logic.
  • Elevate FP&A reporting standards, improving visibility and forecasting accuracy.
  • Conduct lookback analyses to assess past investments and improve future strategy.
  • Partner cross-functionally to improve financial processes, reporting efficiencies, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with the Head of FP&A and Finance Manager to ensure a seamless flow of financial insights across the business.
  • Champion a proactive finance culture, continuously seeking ways to add value beyond traditional finance reporting.

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent experience with 6-8 years in a commercial finance, FP&A, or strategic finance role.
  • Confident communicator, able to influence senior stakeholders and simplify complex financial concepts.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong modelling skills and demonstrable experience of end to end financial modelling, form commercial inputs to primary statements.
  • Data-forward, with exposure to tech stacks typical in fast-growing tech scaleups—fluency with tools like Google Sheets and Google Slides is a big plus.
  • Experience with SQL and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Light Dash), or eager to upskill.
  • A self-starter with a problem-solving mindset, eager to elevate finance’s impact in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
