With our operations expanding in Germany, we are seeking a service-oriented and proactive Studio Manager (all genders) with a passion for fitness to join our team. In this role, you’ll be dedicated to delivering exceptional hospitality, cultivating a thriving front-of-house (FOH) team, ensuring a high-quality studio experience, and managing efficient FOH scheduling.
Moreover, you will oversee up to 2 RIDE studios in Düsseldorf and a team of FOH employees (part-time/working students). Be a key contributor to creating an impeccable studio, workout and hospitality experience for our customers by collaborating closely with our City Operations Team and applying your exceptional people management, training and hospitality skills.
You will:
- Build and Lead a High-Performing FOH Team: Recruit, onboard, and support FOH staff to uphold BEAT81’s exceptional hospitality standards, ensuring they feel valued, integrated, and clear on tasks and expectations.
- Lead by Example: Maintain a strong, visible presence alongside FOH staff, remaining approachable and supportive to cultivate a thriving team culture (75% of the job is based in our studios; this is not an office job!).
- Foster a Welcoming Customer Experience: Empower FOH staff to create a warm, inclusive atmosphere by offering personalised engagement, anticipating customer needs, and prioritise customer satisfaction in every interaction.
- Ensure a Positive Studio Environment: Maintain an inviting and energising atmosphere, attending to details like cleanliness for an outstanding studio experience.
- Uphold BEAT81 Standards: Consistently implement established company standards (e.g. equipment upkeep, inventory or orders), ensuring a seamless, safe, and hygienic studio environment.
- Manage FOH Scheduling Effectively: Oversee FOH scheduling, ensuring efficient use of FOH hours and flexibility to meet demand while providing stability for the FOH team.
You have:
- 3 years of customer service experience, ideally in a leadership role, with a demonstrated ability to remain calm and professional under pressure while delivering exceptional service.
- You are highly organised and adaptable, with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks on the go. Every day is different at BEAT81, so quick thinking and flexibility are key.
- You possess exceptional attention to detail, ensuring nothing slips through the cracks, from customer interactions to studio standards.
- You communicate effectively and can engage comfortably with a diverse range of personalities, fostering a positive atmosphere for both team, coaches and customers.
- You are fluent in English and ideally have at least B2-level proficiency in German to connect with a broader customer base.
- You bring a positive, can-do attitude and is willing to jump into hands-on tasks as needed, from supporting the FOH team to engaging in daily studio operations.
You are comfortable working a non-traditional schedule, including weekends, early mornings, middays, and late evenings to meet the needs of a busy, 7-days-a-week, year-round operation.
