This is a thrilling opportunity to spearhead our expansion into a brand new market as our General Manager for Hamburg (all genders), launching in August 2025!
You'll be instrumental in launching BEAT81 in Hamburg, starting with 2 state-of-the-art boutique group fitness studios and laying the foundation for rapid growth. We're looking for a true pioneer – someone who is eager to roll up their sleeves, build our Hamburg presence from the ground up, and establish BEAT81 as the dominant fitness brand locally.
As the City Lead, you will take full ownership of our Hamburg operations from day one and manage your local team. You will report directly to Senior Management and be the driving force behind the launch, development, and success of our newest city!
You will:
- Successful launch and oversee all operations in Hamburg, establishing the highest standard of customer experience, trainer performance, and studio quality
- Recruit, build, and manage the initial local Hamburg team, fostering a passionate and high-performing BEAT81 community.
- Provide very hands-on support to your team in establishing and running day-to-day studio and coach community operations in a new market.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve ambitious growth targets, manage cost-effectively, and establish strong operational KPIs for Hamburg.
- Play a key role in local marketing efforts and community engagement to build brand awareness and drive membership growth.
You have:
- Fluency in German (C1 minimum)
- Upper-intermediate level in English (B2 minimum)
- 5 years of work experience, optimally with at least 1 year in a high-growth start-up with an offline product and working in (local) operations.
- Experience with new market launches or scaling operations is a strong plus
- Strong organisational skills and a hands-on mentality and are an autonomous self-starter
- People management skills and proven track record of leadership experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A strong customer-focused mindset with a passion for helping others
- Clear, confident, and persuasive communicator
