How You'll Make an Impact

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Associate – ESG to support the implementation and monitoring of BPS’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives, with a strong focus on data analysis, performance tracking, and reporting.

In this role, you will help coordinate ESG activities, with a particular focus on data collection, analysis, tracking and reporting. You will work with internal teams to ensure ESG information is accurate, complete and timely, supporting BPS in measuring its progress, meeting its sustainability commitments and providing reliable information to investors, regulators and other key stakeholders across our operating markets.

What You'll Do

ESG Strategy & Governance

  • Translates ESG priorities into actionable initiatives and workplans
  • Defines governance structures, roles, responsibilities, and decision flows
  • Builds ESG roadmaps with timelines, dependencies, ownership, and operational considerations

ESG Reporting & Disclosures

  • Supports coordination of ESG data collection across teams and stakeholders; flags issues and missing inputs
  • Drafts ESG reports and disclosure content

HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) Management    

  • Assesses key HSE risks and applies mitigation, prevention, and incident response measures
  • Supports implementation of HSE procedures and operational controls

What We're Looking For

Professional & Technical Strengths

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to prepare professional documents, reports, and presentations
  • Strong proficiency in data management, including organizing, maintaining, and analyzing data accurately
  • Basic understanding of ESG principles, sustainability reporting, and environmental and social impact measurement
  • Familiarity with ESG frameworks such as GRI, SASB, IFC Performance Standards, and the UN SDGs is an advantage
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO, GRI CSP) are an advantage

  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate findings into clear reports and insights

  • Ability to coordinate effectively across internal stakeholders and field teams
  • Proactive self-starter, comfortable managing multiple priorities and workstreams
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for operational improvement

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience or exposure to the energy, power, or infrastructure sectors
  • Fluency in French
