As our Commercial Analyst, you'll own the endless aisle commercial intelligence. The weekly scorecard that lands on Monday morning, the store and brand-level action lists that drive activation, the gap analyses that shape where leadership focuses next. You won't just report what happened — you'll tell the pods and brand teams what to do differently and track whether they did it.
This is not a back-office analytics seat. You'll work directly with brand pod leads, retail area managers, and Bash's senior leadership. You understand that a conversion drop could be a product issue, an ops issue, a marketing issue, or an engineering issue — and you know how to tell the difference. Your output shapes how a multi-brand, multi-channel retail programme allocates its attention every week.
WHO YOU ARE:
You've done the analyst years. You're good at SQL, comfortable in BI tools, and you can build a model from scratch. But you're past the point where producing the dashboard is the job — you want to be the person who decides what it means and what happens next. You're commercially sharp, a clear communicator, and you don't need to be told twice that your audience is operators, not analysts.
WHAT YOU’LL OWN
- Weekly Commercial Scorecard
- Build and publish the function’s performance pulse every Monday with revenue by brand, by store cluster, by channel. Annotated, not just charted.
- Insight-to-Action Pipeline
- Translate data into targeted action lists for brand pods and store teams. Quantify activation gaps. Follow up on whether recommendations landed.
- Store & Brand Performance Intelligence
- Maintain the store activation leaderboard and brand benchmarks. Identify what's working, where, and why and package it so operators can act on it.
- Strategic Analysis for Leadership
- Produce the deeper analytical work, penetration modelling, conversion analysis, campaign attribution etc., that feeds quarterly planning and investment cases.
WHAT YOU BRING
This job is for you if you have:
- 4–7 years in analytics, commercial strategy, or revenue operations — ideally in retail, marketplace, or ecommerce
- Strong SQL; comfortable working with dbt, Snowflake, or similar modern data stacks
- Experience with BI/visualisation tools (Looker, Tableau, Metabase, or equivalent)
- A bias toward testing over theorising! You'd rather run a proof of concept in two weeks than present a strategy for two months
- Ability to write a memo, not just build a slide. Clear, persuasive, structured communication and tailored to the audience
- Comfort presenting to senior stakeholders and holding the room when the data tells an uncomfortable story
