The Graphic Designer requires art direction and the ability to follow and assist in building a design system that will scale in line with our ambitions. We aim to create a cross-functional team within an environment where the collective ideas and craft of the team are nurtured and enabled. The design team will ensure that the strategic brand direction and content strategy are translated into high-quality assets that bring this strategy and vision to life. This role will collaborate across multiple touchpoints; they will form part of a high-performing and impactful design team that drives creative excellence.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Design high-impact visuals across digital channels — including banners, app content, emailers, social media, paid media and push notifications
- Develop and refine typographic layouts that align with our brand tone and elevate storytelling
- Interpret strategies and briefs for creative execution.
- Conceptualise strong solutions within a single campaign.
- Work within a cross-functional team to execute content and marketing requirements.
- Proactively research and audit local and global industry/design trends and best practices to inform design execution.
- Gain insights and inspiration from the local design landscape.
- Ability to translate data for use in creative across channels and platforms: email, website, app, and social media.
- Have a thorough understanding of digital formats across social media and online advertising.
- Ability to preserve and push brand guidelines.
- Create outstanding campaign toolkits within the brand guidelines and rollout across channels and platforms.
- Understanding and appreciation of interface, responsive, and user-centred design.
- Provide support to the design team.
- Deliver, ensure and maintain a high quality of work.
WHAT YOU HAVE:
Qualifications & experience
- A degree or diploma in graphic design (or similar relevant qualification)
- 3+ years of working experience in digital design.
- Proficient in Adobe CC Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects).
- Basic Figma understanding.
- Animation skills.
- Basic knowledge of the Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs, Drive).
- Excellent layout skills.
Tools & technical skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; After Effects is a plus)
- Working knowledge of Figma (for collaborative design and mock up’s)
- Basic video editing and animation capabilities (Premiere Pro, After Effects, or equivalent)
- Basic understanding of the Google Suite (Slides, Docs, Sheets, Drive
- Experience using or a strong interest in AI design tools (e.g. Midjourney/ ChatGPT). To create imagery, short clips and voice overs etc
Skills you already have
- Creative thinker with meticulous attention to detail and a refined design sensibility
- Curious, playful, and excited to experiment with new visual formats and technologies
- Passionate about fashion, lifestyle storytelling, and culture-led design
- Trend-aware: you have a good sense of what’s current in fashion, art, media, and design
- Proactive, self-starting and task-driven with strong organisational skills
- Excellent time management: able to juggle multiple briefs, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure
- Comfortable taking initiative, receiving feedback, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong portfolio showcasing digital work, layout, typography and campaign design
