Certified as a Great Place to Work around the world, Baringa has been recognised by the Financial Times in 22 categories of its UK Leading Management Consultants rankings, and by Forbes for four consecutive years as one of the World’s Best Management Consulting Firms.

Our Clients and Marketing team are looking for an experienced Marketing Business Partner to join them.

Over the past nine months, Clients & Marketing has evolved from a purist marketing function into a broadened, end-to-end Clients & Marketing team.  Our focus now spans from brand and market positioning through to deeper client relationships, improved win rates, revenue growth, and increased net margin. This is being underpinned by an operational transformation including cNPS, new ways of working, and a content management platform driving greater efficiency and effectiveness.

We’re now looking for the marketing and business development professionals that can guide us through this exciting transformation.

About the sector: Baringa’s Products & Services (P&S) consulting business is a cross industry sector bringing together clients that share similar commercial models, operating challenges, and value chains, even though they sit in different industries. The sector exists explicitly to capture synergies across industries where boundaries are increasingly blurred (e.g. tech companies becoming retailers, pharma moving into consumer health, telcos operating retail models).

P&S is structured around a set of industry led business units (BUs), including:

  • Consumer Products & Retail
  • Telecoms, Media & Technology
  • Pharmaceuticals & Life Sciences
  • Manufacturing (with an Aerospace & Defence focus)

Each BU retains industry depth, client relationships, and subject matter expertise, while sitting within the wider P&S sector framework.

Marketing has a role to play by helping the business select key industry issues that will fuel growth and create, develop and launch a sequence of campaigns to build awareness and recommendation – and of course business development meetings and sales among senior P&S client audiences in all its geographies (currently UK and US).

What you will be doing

  • Partnering with the Clients & Marketing Exec Sponsor and sector leadership teams to shape and deliver strategic marketing plans that advance sector priorities and drive measurable commercial impact.
  • Leading the end‑to‑end delivery of campaign and event programmes, ensuring high‑quality execution and measurable commercial impact.
  • Building a strong understanding of client challenges, market trends, competitor activity, and Baringa’s sector capabilities to refine messaging, targeting, and segmentation.
  •  Managing the in‑sector marketing team (where applicable), providing coaching, development, and day‑to‑day support.
  • Championing consistency, collaboration, and efficiency across sectors by working closely with fellow BPs and the wider Clients & Marketing team.
  • Leading the creation of compelling messaging and visuals that clearly differentiate Baringa in the market. Leveraging thought leadership, client success stories, and insight‑driven narratives to deliver standout campaigns and assets.
  • Owning the sector marketing budget, ensuring responsible management, cost control, and ongoing value‑for‑money improvements.
  • Bringing the sector strategy to life across the business—building alignment, energy, and advocacy for campaign activity.

Your skills and experience

  • Proven track record in shaping marketing strategy and the appropriate selection of tactics to drive a business forward and increase customer engagement and sales; use of the full multichannel mix.
  • Strategic marketing experience in a B2B environment.
  • Experience in management consulting sector.
  • Expert relationship building and network creation – internally and with external parties.
  • Ability to work across all levels with impact, effectiveness and influence.
  • Proactive in pre-empting, identifying, resolving and escalating issues.
  • Self-sufficient, self-starter.  Ideally educated to Degree level or equivalent.
  • Ideally CIM Diploma-qualified or equivalent.

What a career at Baringa will give you

PuttingPeopleFirst.

Baringa is a People First company and wellbeing is at the forefront of our culture. We recognise the importance of work-life balance and flexible working and provide our staff amazing benefits. Some of these benefits include:

  • Generous Annual Leave Policy: We recognise everyone needs a well-deserved break. We provide our employees with 5 weeks of annual leave, fully available at the start of each year. In addition to this, we have introduced our 5-Year Recharge benefit which allows all employees an additional 2 weeks of paid leave after 5 years continuous service.
  • Flexible Working: We know that the ‘ideal’ work-life balance will vary from person to person and change at different stages of our working lives. To accommodate this, we have implemented a hybrid working policy and introduced more flexibility around taking unpaid leave.
  • Corporate Responsibility Days: Our world is important to us, so all our employees get 3 every year to help social and environmental causes and increase our impact on the communities that mean the most to us.
  • Wellbeing Fund: We want to encourage all employees to take charge and prioritise their own wellbeing. We’ve introduced our annual People Fund to support this by offering every individual a fund to support and manage their wellbeing through an activity of their choice.
  • Profit Share Scheme: All employees participate in the Baringa Group Profit Share Scheme so everyone has a stake in the company’s success.

Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) agenda is about giving back to the communities in which we live and work by sharing our skills, talent and time.
