Our Power and Low Carbon Solutions practice are looking for an experienced Senior Consultant or Manager to join the team in Copenhagen, and play a key role in expanding our presence and driving growth in strategy and transactions work across the Nordics.

Baringa’s market leading Power & Low Carbon Solutions (PLCS) practice works with clients across the energy value chain - utilities, independent power producers, developers, network companies, commodity traders, industrials, investors, policymakers and regulators. We combine deep market, technical, commercial and regulatory expertise to help clients develop projects, deploy capital, and optimize value across the energy transition, including renewables, storage, clean molecules and low carbon infrastructure.

 

What you will be doing

You will be a key member of our new established office in Copenhagen and part of our global energy advisory team. Leveraging our industry-leading market capabilities, IP and supported by Energy Market Experts.

  • You will engage with key clients across strategics, independent developers, financial advisors and infra / PE funds, shaping and executing strategy and commercial propositions and supporting transactions e.g.
    • Corporate and deals strategy,
    • Market & commercial due diligence,
    • investment or development strategy,
    • commercial optimizaton,
    • Route-to-Market and market access,
    • Organizational design,
    • Corporate decarbonization.
  • Project Delivery: Play a key role in the scoping, structuring and delivery of strategy and transaction projects, leveraging internal expertise and managing timelines.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture relationships with key clients, delivering high-impact strategic and commercial propositions.
  • Team Collaboration: Work flexibility in mixed teams, inspiring and developing junior staff, while enabling a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Project Management: Ensure excellence in project and client management, including quality assurance, billing, and collections.
  • Champion Initiatives: Lead key initiatives that promote inclusivity, drive growth, and enhance client impact.

 
Your skills and experience

We are expanding our presence in the Nordic region and looking for a talented individual to support our delivery of strategy and transactions engagements. The ideal candidate will have experience in some of the following areas:

  • Professional Experience: At least 3-5 years of professional experience in clean infrastructure space (e.g. Power / Renewables, Clean Molecules, EV, Data Centers, etc.):
    • Strategy consultant or M&A advisor (BIG-4 / Strategy Consulting firms),
    • Corporate development / M&A in energy companies,
    • Principal investor in P.E. / Infra funds.
  • A good understanding of the Power and Low Carbon space and key value drivers. Awareness of key players, projects and market drivers globally, but particularly in the Nordics.
  • Experience in assessing value across the asset life cycle on renewable and clean infrastructure assets.
  • Experience in commercial structures, assessing routes to market for power generation assets, and designing business models in energy markets.
  • Project management experience: Demonstrated ability to manage complex or dynamic projects or programs, effectively managing cross-functional teams, timelines, and budgets.
  • Analytical Excellence: Strong analytical skills with the capability to develop hypotheses and draw conclusions within tight timeframes.
  • Client Management: Ability to manage client relationships, deliver results in client-facing environments, and manage stakeholders effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and a Nordic language is preferred.
