About AI at Baringa 

Our Solutions & AI Labs (SAIL) practice focuses on helping clients control their data, turn them into actionable insights and better leverage them through the use of Machine Learning solutions directly embedded into business processes. We support clients across a number of industries and offer deep expertise in AI, ML, Cloud and Managed Solutions.

We are seeking passionate and dynamic ML engineers who are excited by building production Machine Learning solutions. A degree in a STEM related field is required, but degrees in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics and Engineering are preferred.

So, what are we looking for?

We’re looking for well-rounded talented people from all academic backgrounds. We look for people with curiosity, are a team player and demonstrate a growth mindset. 
You can be in your final year at university or a graduate, and we welcome applicants with a degree in STEM related fields. 

We’re looking for individuals who possess one or more of the following skills and attributes:

- Enthusiasm to apply your skills to our SAIL business unit
- Passionate person who is excited by problems within machine learning 
- Excellent team working skills, and a desire to work in a collaborative environment  
- Excellent communication and presentation skills 
- Strong problem-solving skills and solid grounding in classical ML and deep learning – from applied statistics and traditional machine learning algorithms to transformers and SOTA deep learning
- Interest in building AI applications, ranging from forecasting tools to image recognition applications and LLM-based agentic systems
- Continuous learner – you are always exploring the latest frameworks, tools and methodologies in Machine Learning and AI, and are keen to bring fresh ideas to the table
- Clear motivations behind why consulting and Baringa 
- Well-developed analytical skills

- Experience with Python and popular data/ml libraries (e.g. Pandas, Sklearn, Pytorch).
