Role Overview

Working as a QUEST Placement engineer will give you the opportunity to work with industry-leading teams and equip you with the skills that you need to begin a successful career in design and engineering.
You’ll be part of the team and get involved in a wide variety of projects to develop your experience from your very first day.

 

Key Purpose

Design and specify all aspects of our Civil and Structural Engineering works in accordance with current guidelines, standards, regulations and project deliverables

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering design and consultancy services on behalf of BakerHicks under the direction of the line manager or project lead.
  • Produce design deliverables (including calculations, drawings, specifications and reports), site surveys, construction stage duties, client liaison with members of design/construction teams, project management, costing and ensure progress against the project brief.
  • Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary members of the design team to deliver safe, efficient and buildable solutions.
  • Keep up to date with ICE and/or IStructE training and CPD requirements.

 

Requirements

  • Awarded QUEST Scholarship with BakerHicks and ICE.
  • Enrolled in a degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.
