Civil & Structural Engineer

As a Civil & Structural Engineer, you’ll work in sectors including power, life sciences or industry, delivering the civil and structural solutions that make these projects possible.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll contribute to high‑impact UK projects, applying both your engineering expertise across a range of technically demanding sites.

  • Designing and specifying structural engineering solutions aligned to British Standards, Eurocodes and project deliverables.
  • Producing drawings, specifications, reports, site surveys, and construction‑stage support.
  • Checking calculations and drawings to ensure quality, compliance, and buildability.
  • Collaborating closely with architects, civil engineers, mechanical/electrical teams, and project managers.
  • Reviewing subcontractor designs and ensuring technical alignment with project intent.
  • Contributing to fee estimates, scopes, tender reviews and change control documents.
  • Supporting and mentoring early‑career engineers and championing best practice across the team.

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Working towards (or already progressing strongly toward) Chartered or Incorporated status with ICE or IStructE.
  • Solid experience delivering design in at least one relevant sector - power, life sciences, industry, or similar complex environments.
  • Solid experience working in design for a design consultancy.
  • Proficiency in MasterSeries, STAAD, Tedds or similar analysis tools.
  • Strong understanding of CDM Regulations, UK technical standards, and structural design codes.
  • Ability to train and mentor graduate engineers
  • Clear, confident communication -  able to translate complex engineering into simple, actionable ideas.
