SCOPE OF THE ROLE

The Salesforce Lead will be responsible for the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance and improvement of our database. Working closely with the Chief of Staff and department leads including Sales, Client Onboarding, Compliance, Finance, Trading, Risk, the lead will identify, develop and deploy Salesforce releases to support the business. This role is part technical project manager, part administrator, part developer. 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Own Salesforce and be the primary system administrator and lead developer for Salesforce with 120+ users
  • Lead Salesforce developer team
  • Gather detailed requests for improvements or changes to the system, and implement these changes as appropriate
  • Plan ahead for upgrades, seasonal releases, best practice, and long term projects
  • Ensure the quality and stability of our Salesforce environments
  • Develop and maintain custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and SOQL/SOSL
  • Implement Salesforce configurations, including custom objects, fields, workflows, process builder, and flows
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
  • Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
  • Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and user acceptance tests. With test automation packs
  • Utilize Salesforce DX and other deployment tools to manage and deploy code changes
  • Lead release management and deployment activities
  • Train new users and grow the Salesforce skill set across the organization
  • Document customizations made in Salesforce
  • Contribute to the devops process

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 6+ Years of Salesforce admin / developer experience
  • Excellent project management skills and a positive attitude
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle, and prioritise simultaneous requests
  • Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
  • Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to critically evaluate and prioritize information gathered from multiple sources and reconcile conflicts
  • Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on Salesforce and other integrated systems
  • A demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex processes
  • Strong understanding of the Salesforce platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, processes, custom views, and other content
  • Strong proficiency in Apex, LWC, Visualforce, and SOQL/SOSL
  • Experience using Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Service Cloud
  • Interest in digital assets
  • Experience with Salesforce configuration and customization.
  • Understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities and limitations.
  • Experience using Salesforce DX and version control systems (e.g., Git, VS Code)
  • Experience of full Salesforce SDLC
  • DevOps Experience (preferred)
  • Experience Using REST APIs
  • Salesforce Admin (ADM201 and ADM211) certified preferred
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I and II certification (Bonus)
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
