Position overview
As a Talent Specialist (Contract), you will play a key role in accelerating Axiomatic AI’s hiring engine by owning end-to-end recruitment for a defined set of priority roles. You will act as an execution-focused hiring specialist: translating role briefs into sourcing strategies, running structured screens, partnering with hiring stakeholders through the full interview loop, and driving offers to close with clarity and pace.
We are hiring globally, with active openings across the United States, Spain, and Canada. This role supports multi-country searches in a deep-tech environment.
Contract scope: This is a contractor engagement with an initial defined scope (role portfolio + delivery goals). We expect full-time availability during the initial period. The contract may be extended based on business needs and performance.
Your Mission
- End-to-end Pipeline Ownership: Own recruiting workflows end-to-end for an agreed portfolio of roles, running multiple concurrent searches with clear execution plans.
- Sourcing & Talent Mapping: Translate role briefs and target profiles into sourcing strategies. Build outbound pipelines via LinkedIn, referrals, talent maps, and targeted research, continuously testing and improving approaches.
- Hiring Cadence: Drive pipeline reviews, stage progression, feedback collection, and decision readiness to keep processes moving.
- Candidate Communication: Own candidate communication throughout outreach, scheduling coordination, process updates, and closing.
- Market Intelligence: Share market insights from sourcing reality (talent availability, response patterns, competitor signals, messaging effectiveness).
- Structured Screens: Run structured screens to assess baseline fit and run competencies evaluation
- Documentation: Produce clear evaluation scorecards and recommendations aligned to hiring criteria.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Partner with Hiring Managers and the Talent Lead to maintain clarity, pace, and alignment throughout the process.
- Pipeline Hygiene: Maintain rigorous ATS hygiene - triage inbound, keep stages clean, and ensure only qualified profiles progress.
- Interviewer Enablement: Ensure interviewers have timely context and materials to reduce friction and improve candidate experience.
- Offer Support & Closing: Support offer preparation and closing - align on level, comp inputs, timelines, and risk flags.
- Process Rigor: Maintain structured documentation that enables fast decisions and consistent evaluation.
Key requirements
- 3+ years of experience in technical recruiting (agency or in-house), ideally deep tech / AI / engineering.
- Proven ability to run end-to-end recruiting cycles, including structured screens and stakeholder coordination.
- Strong hands-on sourcing expertise.
- High attention to detail and process discipline (pipeline hygiene, clean notes, stage rigor).
- Strong written and verbal communication; able to represent the company professionally with candidates.
- Comfortable operating in an international hiring environment across multiple time zones and locations.
- Proactive, execution-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
Nice to have
- Experience recruiting in early-stage / high-growth environments.
- Familiarity with Greenhouse (or similar ATS) and structured scorecard-based hiring.
- Prior hiring exposure to AI research/engineering, scientific computing, or formal methods profiles.
