Detail Designer

AVATR Global Design Center is looking for a Detail Designer — a multi-talented design professional who sits at the intersection of interior design, exterior design, and brand innovation. You will become part of our experienced and international AVATR Design Team in Munich. Here we strongly believe in the power of design as a propeller towards continuous innovation and breaking boundaries. What you will do:

• Work in 2D and 3D for innovations, concepts and production programs.
• Create fresh, innovative idea bandwidths with a stretch and forward thinking.
• Focalize idea bandwidths to design solutions that fulfill requirements yet are compelling in their own ways.
• Work with Avatr´s Design DNA and Experience as a source of inspiration.
• Interface and collaborate with cross functional teams from Interior, Exterior, UXUI, C&M, Studio Engineering and CAS to deliver viable solutions.
• Focus on Automotive Interior Details but occasionally work with other departments like Exterior, Advanced or Product.
• Create artistic presentations to senior management.
• Trend research and innovation in detail design, technologies, user driven experiences.

 

What you will bring:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Automotive Design, Industrial Design, Transportation Design, or a related field
• Experience in creative thinking, user focused ideation, brand driven design and attention to detail
• Over 4 years of automotive detail design or related experience – with a strong portfolio that includes examples of past completed projects
• Knowledge of detail production and integration methods.
• Strong 2D & 3D digital capabilities. Knowledge in software such as Photoshop, Blender and Microsoft Office is a must. Knowledge in Figma, Alias and VRed & upcoming AI software is a big plus.
• Ability to think three-dimensionally, with a strong emphasis on attention to detail, user experience, sophistication, and a refined sense of graphics and form.
• Proficiency in applying and translating cultural insights to design characteristics.
• Fluency in English; additional languages warmly welcome.
