Purchasing Manager

AVATR Global Design Center is looking for a Purchasing Manager. In this role, you will lead the purchasing team, shape procurement strategy, and ensure efficient, cost-effective, and compliant sourcing operations, vendor management while working closely with internal stakeholders and HQ in China.

 

What you will do:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the purchasing team, fostering a high-performing and collaborative environment
  • Define and execute procurement strategies aligned with business objectives and global direction
  • Manage and strengthen supplier relationships, including leading key negotiations, contract agreements, and ongoing performance improvement
  • Oversee the purchasing budget and drive cost optimization initiatives to maximize value
  • Ensure efficient and compliant end-to-end procurement processes, while driving continuous improvement and enhancing systems and tools
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including cross-border challenges, to ensure business continuity
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and support alignment with HQ in China through regular communication and reporting
  • Provide regular reporting, analysis, and insights to senior management to support informed decision-making
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical sourcing standards

 

What you will bring: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • 8+ years of of experience in procurement or supply chain management, including leadership responsibility, preferably within an automotive OEM environment
  • Strong leadership, team development, and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Demonstrates strong ownership and a results-driven mindset
  • Excellent negotiation skills and solid experience in supplier management
  • Experience working in international or matrix organizations, with strong cross-cultural communication skills
  • Strategic mindset combined with strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proven decision-making skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluent in German, English, and Chinese
