
Product, Market & User Research Manager
Role Overview:
AVATR is looking for a Product, Market & User Research Manager (Europe) to join our growing team in Munich. This role will lead the European product, market and user research team, be fully responsible for formulating and implementing the overall research strategy for the European region, oversee in-depth research on overseas (focusing on European) market product status, collect and analyse dealer and user feedback, track regional competitor dynamics and regulatory changes, output cost-effective overseas product configuration lists and professional research reports, and . The role will also be responsible for team management, capacity building and cross-departmental resource coordination to ensure the efficient operation of the research team and the effective landing of research results.
What You Will Do:
- Team Leadership & Management: Lead the European product, market and user research team, formulate teamwork plans and performance indicators, be responsible for the recruitment, training, assessment and development of team members, build a professional research team, and improve the overall professional ability and work efficiency of the team.
- Overall Research Strategy Formulation & Implementation: Develop the overall product, market and user research strategy for the European region and phased implementation plans, clarify research priorities and directions, integrate research resources, and ensure that the research work is aligned with the company's overall development strategy and business needs.
- Market & Product Research Oversight: Oversee in-depth research on overseas (focusing on European) market product status, collect and sort out feedback from dealers and end-users, track regional competitor dynamics, product configuration plans and core selling points, establish a systematic research database, and provide comprehensive market and product insights.
- Product Configuration & Regulatory Research: Lead the team to analyse regional preferences for specific product configurations (value perception) and relevant regulatory requirements on configurations in different European regions, output overseas product configuration lists that maximize value while controlling costs, and provide support for product optimization and compliance.
- Competitor & Market Segment Research: Focus on the research of European regional markets, oversee the monitoring and analysis of competitor business dynamics, market product competition situation, tariff policies, local policies and regulatory changes, research and analyse the scale of segmented markets and competitor sales performance, and provide data support for market positioning and business decision-making.
- Research Report Output & Strategy Support: Oversee the sorting, analysis and induction of research data, guide the team to output high-quality regular and special research reports (including product positioning analysis, competitor selection analysis, pricing analysis, EAP, EATP, etc.) and provide professional suggestions and strategic support for cross-departmental decision-making.
- Cross-departmental Collaboration & Resource Coordination: Act as the core contact for European product, market and user research work, cooperate closely with product, marketing, design, sales, legal and other cross-functional teams, coordinate resources, promote the effective application of research results in product development, market promotion and other links, and solve cross-departmental research-related needs.
- Research System Optimization: Continuously optimize the European product, market and user research methods, processes and tools, promote the innovation of research models, improve the accuracy, efficiency and pertinence of research work, and adapt to the dynamic changes of the European market.
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Marketing, Market Research, Product Management, Business Administration or related majors; master's degree is preferred.
- 5-8 years of relevant work experience in product research, market research or user research in the automotive industry (preferably new energy vehicles), including at least 2-3 years of team management experience. Experience in the European market is a must, and familiar with the European automotive market ecology is an advantage.
- Profound understanding of the European automotive market, including market rules, consumer demand, competitor patterns, relevant policies and regulations (such as vehicle safety, environmental protection, configuration compliance), and have rich experience in formulating targeted research strategies and outputting strategic research reports.
- Rich experience in team management, able to effectively lead and motivate the team, formulate reasonable work plans, and promote the achievement of team goals; have good team building and talent training capabilities.
- Proficient in using various market research methods and tools, able to independently design research plans, organize research implementation, sort out and analyse research data, and output professional and targeted research reports; familiar with EAP, EATP and other related analysis work is preferred.
- Have excellent strategic thinking and analytical ability, be able to extract effective information from complex data and market dynamics, identify core problems and opportunities and put forward targeted strategic suggestions.
- Excellent communication, coordination and negotiation skills, able to effectively cooperate with cross-functional teams, external partners (such as dealers, research institutions) and team members, and have good problem-solving ability.
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken); proficient in Chinese is a plus.
- Proactive, responsible, detail-oriented, able to work independently and bear certain work pressure, with a strong learning ability, adaptability and innovation awareness.
