We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented, and security-conscious 1st/2nd Line IT Support Specialist to join our team. This role combines front desk responsibilities with hands-on on-site support for general office and design systems, modern office infrastructure, ensuring smooth daily IT operations and high-quality user support within our office. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in IT support, a service-oriented mindset, and the ability to work independently.
What you will do:
- Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support to on-site end users, including issue diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution for hardware, software, and network-related problems.
- Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain operating systems and application software. iOS, Windows.
- Handle hardware failures, replacements, installations, and configuration loading for laptops, desktops, peripherals, and other office IT equipment.
- Support and administer Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Teams, and Exchange.
- Administer and support conference room A/V systems and VPN access.
- Ensure timely updates and resolution of IT tickets using the internal ITSM tool, in line with defined SLAs.
- Support IT asset management, including tracking, inventory maintenance, and lifecycle documentation.
- Assist with server room maintenance and equipment management at the German office.
- Provide professional, user-friendly communication and guidance to non-technical staff regarding IT requests and issues.
- Update the knowledge base, technical documentation, and support procedures.
What you will bring:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4+ years of relevant experience in an office-based IT support role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration, Entra, Active Directory, MS Exchange, Endpoint management system, Collaboration tools and File sharing systems.
- Experience supporting Windows OS, iOS and commonly used office software. Macs, iPhones, good to have experience supporting interactive screens and tablets.
- Experience supporting video conferencing and A/V systems. Wi-Fi AP.
- Familiarity with ITSM platforms and service desk workflows.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and strong root cause analysis capability.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Customer-first mindset with a professional, friendly, and solution-oriented approach.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
Nice to have:
- Experience in administering network equipment and systems (Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet).
- Endpoint management/MDM (Baramundi), MS Purview, MS Defender.
- Familiarity with deployment and support of AutoCAD, Adobe CC, and similar systems.
- Support of Lark/Feishu, various file sharing, CAD, Adobe systems.
- Familiarity with IT process improvement, documentation, and best practices.
- Chinese language skills
