We are looking for a motivated and service-minded IT Intern to join our team. In this role, you’ll assist with day-to-day IT operations, support our front desk. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment, develop practical ITSM operations and support skills, and contribute to keeping our office running smoothly. 

 

Main Responsibilities: 

  • Assist the IT lead in daily IT operations and IT projects. 
  • Provide first-line technical support to on-site end users, including gathering basic information from requestors about incidents and requests, diagnosing issues, and performing troubleshooting and resolution for basic hardware, software, and network-related problems. 
  • Handle hardware failures, replacements, installations for laptops, desktops, peripherals, and other office IT equipment. Support conference room A/V systems. 
  • Ensure timely updates and resolution of IT tickets using the internal ITSM tool, in line with defined SLAs. 
  • Support IT asset management, including tracking, inventory maintenance, and lifecycle documentation. 
  • Assist with server room maintenance and equipment management. 
  • Provide professional, user-friendly communication and guidance to non-technical staff regarding IT requests and issues. 
  • Update the knowledge base, technical documentation, and support procedures. 

 

Requirements: 

  • Major in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or another related discipline 
  • High sense of responsibility and good time planning ability 
  • Strong IT skills: Microsoft tools (e.g., Excel, Word, PPT)  
  • Language skills: Fluency in English, German is a plus.

  • For students from the EU zone, no work permit is required. During the semester, working hours cannot exceed 20 hours/week, and during the summer and winter breaks, there is no weekly limit on the number of working hours (however, the total number of working hours exceeding 20 hours/week cannot exceed 26 weeks in the whole year) 
  • For international students from outside the European Union, a work permit is already attached to the German student visa at the time of issuance, and there is no need to apply for a separate work permit. It must be noted, however, that working hours for international students are limited to 140 full days (8 hours a day) or 280 half days (4 hours a day) per year. If they exceed this specified time, they must apply for a work permit at the Foreign Affairs Bureau. Chinese students on student visas cannot work more than 140 days per year if they work full-time.
