Currently, we are looking for a Design Project Manager. You will become part of our experienced and international AVATR Design Team in Munich. Work location: Munich, Germany
What you will be doing:
- Responsible for efficient planning, monitoring and steering of Design sub- projects
- Ensuring projects stay within schedule, budget, and provide highest level of quality within your scope of work
- Prepare and present reports to management and different forums as required
- Managing organization-wide alignments through important communication channels and reporting across all levels of the organization
- Managing and monitoring design activities cross-globally to ensure on-time delivery of required assets to the best standard
- Analyzing and resolving conflicts in a multicultural environment, remove hurdles, and be a catalyst for Design Leadership
- Collaboration and supplier management where necessary
- Supporting departmental development regarding processes, methods and tools in collaboration with department Head and Product Line Managers-Design
- Assisting design departments with long term resource and budget planning (project related)
- Managing risks, issues and aiding in resolution via means like escalation
- Willingness to travel (domestically and internationally) as required
What you will bring:
- Bachelors/ master’s degree in design, Engineering or/and Project Management
- Fluent in English - other languages are a plus
- 3+ years of work experience in a global automotive context, preferably Automotive OEM (original equipment manufacturer)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Project/ program management
- Strong planning, steering and controlling skills with focus on details
- Excellent understanding of the automotive design environment, processes and its challenges
- Familiar with basic engineering criteria and requirements in automotive development
- Proven organizational skills and an ability to multi-task efficiently
- Reliable and able to work without close supervision
- Good verbal and visual communication skills
- Proactive and self-motivated, able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced and international environment
