About the job
We’re looking for a Benefits Manager to join our People & Culture team on a 15-month FTC.
In this role, you’ll take ownership of our employee benefits offering by designing, delivering, and evolving programmes that are inclusive, competitive, and aligned with our values and the needs of our people.
As the benefits subject matter expert, you’ll lead the day-to-day management and strategic development of core benefits, including private medical insurance, group risk, pensions, flexible benefits, wellness initiatives and leave policies. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external providers to ensure a seamless experience and continually look for ways to improve engagement and value through data, feedback and market insight.
You’ll oversee the full lifecycle of our annual benefits enrolment, from communications and provider renewals to system updates and colleague support, ensuring everything runs smoothly and is clearly understood. You’ll also manage provider relationships, monitor service levels, and lead the tendering process for new benefits, defining objectives and -advocating strong f governance and outcomes.
Communication is a critical underpin to the success of our benefit programmes. You’ll help shape and deliver communication strategies that build awareness and maximise the impact of our benefits year-round. This role is also the escalation point for complex benefit queries, offering expert advice and support to colleagues and the wider People & Culture team. Collaboration is key, so you’ll proactively work with our people partnering team, to adjust programs and policies in line with legislation. You’ll oversee the collaboration with payroll and our people admin teams to ensure process governance and data accuracy.
There is also the opportunity to manage our benefits administration team, helping them grow, develop and deliver great service to our people.
What we're looking for
- Experience working in a benefit or reward manager role.
- Strong knowledge of employee benefits legislation and regulations in the UK.
- Experience with People Systems, particularly with benefits administration systems.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Experience leading the design and delivery of an annual benefits enrolment.
- Great communication and collaboration skills, with confidence to influence and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent written communication style, enabling you to clearly communicate complex information.
Benefits
We’re offering a salary of £50,000 – £65,000 dependent on experience.
You'll have 28 days holiday per year, and that's in addition to bank holidays and half day closures on Christmas and New Year's Eve.
