Creator Manager

Manchester

About us

You’ve probably heard of Autotrader, but do you know what we’re all about?

We’re the UK’s leading automotive marketplace, a heritage brand, and a tech darling of the stock market. We bring together vehicle buyers and sellers to give them real choices. Cars may be what we're best known for but we’re also the place for pretty much everything else on wheels, from e-bikes to caravans.

In the automotive world, change is a constant, that’s why we take our job of untangling the complex car-buying journey very seriously.

At our core, we’re all about people. We go our own way while embracing diversity and celebrating our differences. We dedicate ourselves to the idea that we work better together.

Autotrader is a beautiful, surprising and vibrant place to work. We might not be for everyone, but we could be perfect for you.

About the job

Based out of our Manchester campus, we’re looking for a Creator Manager to be responsible for driving Autotrader’s creator and influencer strategy. This is a newly created role to embed creator marketing as a lever we can use to drive business outcomes including brand growth, consumer trust, lead generation, and product adoption. In this role, you will be pivotal in shaping Autotrader’s voice in the creator economy ensuring alignment and authenticity across overall marketing and brand goals.

Managing a multi-million pound budget, you'll build our 0-1 strategy, planning and execution of how we work with creators across several parts of the consumer journey to build awareness, engagement and business growth. You’ll do this by collaborating with internal teams and external partners to integrate creators into broader marketing initiatives. Your efforts will drive brand awareness, engagement, and leads, while continuously analysing campaign performance to refine and optimize future strategies. Staying ahead of industry trends and identifying opportunities to enhance Autotrader’s presence will be key to your success.

As a key brand ambassador, you'll influence and embed creators as a lever for business growth across the organization. You'll manage relationships and negotiations, work cross-functionally with content, PR, media, and brand teams, and showcase the impact and ROI of creator partnerships to key stakeholders. Additionally, you'll mentor team members, navigate challenges related to content alignment and compliance, and ensure all partnerships align with brand safety guidelines. Join us in driving brand reach, engagement, and authenticity through high-quality creator collaborations.

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience operating in a similar role launching an influencer and creator strategy into a business and demonstrating outsized commercial business and brand performance.
  • Previous experience managing large-scale influencer campaigns and creator relationships, preferably in-house at a brand known for leveraging influencers effectively.
  • Proven track record of working with both macro- and micro-influencers, building long-term brand ambassador programs that delivered direct business impact across multiple teams.
  • Experience in negotiating contracts and managing budgets related to influencer marketing.
  • Strong knowledge of content creation and engagement best practice on social platforms (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Twitch, etc.), including how algorithms impact content reach.
  • A collaborative approach with experience working across cross-functional teams within the wider marketing community.

While not essential, it would be a plus if you have any of the following:

  • Experience shifting marketing and product performance with creators, delivering through data-led reporting, using insights to optimise influencer partnerships further
  • Experience with influencer marketing tools (e.g., Aspire, GRIN, CreatorIQ, or Upfluence).
  • Experience managing or mentoring team members, providing clear guidance, regular feedback and development opportunities to enable high performance and professional growth.
  • Preferred experience working in consumer brands, tech, lifestyle, fashion, gaming, or automotive industries that rely heavily on creator marketing.

Benefits

We’re offering a salary of £50,000 – £75,000, plus an additional 10% of your salary awarded to you in shares each year. These awarded shares will become yours in yearly instalments over the next three years, and you can choose to either sell them or keep them as shares.

You'll have 28 days holiday per year, and that's in addition to bank holidays and half day closures on Christmas and New Year's Eve.

That’s not all. You'll be enrolled in our pension scheme, where our standard contributions are 7% and employee contributions are 5%. We also have comprehensive private medical cover, enhanced family leave provisions, a car salary sacrifice scheme, share-save options, and much more.

We always want to give you the support you need and help prioritise your wellbeing, that’s why we provide access to 24/7 online GP and dentist, as well as specialist support for assisted fertility, gender dysphoria, menopause, period care plans and lots more.

On top of all that, our hybrid model, Connected Working, combines the best of both worlds – office and home working. You’ll have two fixed weekly office days for team collaboration and one more of your choice to suit your work-life balance.

Additionally, we have our remote-first periods at set times during summer and winter. During these periods, you can work remotely anywhere in the UK and from certain locations abroad.
