We're seeking a Field Service Engineer to be based in Dresden, Germany, one of the most exciting innovation hubs in all of Europe. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Installing, qualifying, performing preventative maintenance, and conducting corrective repair maintenance on advanced electronic/electro-mechanical semiconductor capital equipment at customer locations
Providing tool-down repair support in complex situations, collaborating effectively in diverse team environments, and developing action plans and presentations for problem resolutions;
ASM prides itself on creating a safe working environment, which you will be responsible to help maintain;
Generating comprehensive and timely reports to document activities and findings.

Education and Experience:

A relevant technical diploma or Bachelor's degree in a technical field (or equivalent)
Fresh graduates are very welcome to apply for this position. Whilst it is not necessary - previous experience in field service/customer engineering, including installation and startup of systems, preferably within the semiconductor industry is a plus
Team player – our field service team is a close group that works closely together in a supportive way
Strong hands-on skills and a passion for complex troubleshooting
Good level of English and German reading, writing & speaking skills
Valid driver's license.

Travel:

After the initial training period, we expect business travel to be 25% or less, mostly to European locations
