Essential Functions:

The Regional Visual Operations Manager (RVOM) is responsible for aligning a defined group of store teams (approximately 5-6 stores) to execute and achieve all corporate strategies and business goals. The RVOM is accountable for fostering and maintaining an inclusive and collaborative work environment that drives business results, promotes amazing guest experiences, and maintains a highly engaged team of field employees. The RVOM is responsible for empowering the store leadership teams to effectively lead the day-to-day functions of the stores within their region including guest experience, employee engagement, visual merchandising and operational excellence.

Sales Generation

  • Seek ways to support the sales team and drive overall sales
  • Coach VMs to exceptional performance while assisting in the sales (TO) process
  • Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the merchandise; ensure selling staff is fluent in all aspects of product knowledge
  • Work closely with marketing team to maximize store marketing events, i.e. Special Events, Grand Openings

Customer Service

  • Utilize corporate toolbox, ensure that all employees are properly trained to provide amazing guest experiences
  • Resolve all guest problems and complaints quickly and effectively
  • Empower employees to make decisions in the guest’s best interest that also support the mission statement & core values of the company

Operations

  • Conduct regular audits of all store operations and visual processes, ensure compliance in all stores
  • Coach the team to track trends to ensure that control procedures are in place and observed
  • Control store payroll and expenses and maintain budgets, continually striving to reduce costs
  • Manage and conduct store inventories
  • Ensure staff is trained in all areas of responsibility
  • Build and maintain good communication with members of corporate, property management and other stores
  • Coordinate new store openings and facilitate the prompt repair of store equipment as required
  • Exhibit proficiency in computer programs used by the Company including: Word, Excel & PowerPoint

Merchandising/Visual

  • Support the execution of visual merchandising plans
  • Responsible for the look and feel of stores within Region
  • Ensuring proper signage is being utilized to effectively market in-store products.
  • Implement and maintain all corporate merchandising directives and ensure execution of effective merchandising strategies
  • Ensure presentation of all displays, fixtures and all visual areas are reflective of current visual direction

Human Capital

  • Recruit, train, and develop staff ensuring all positions are filled in a timely manner with qualified personnel
  • Actively select, train and develop Operations and Visual Managers, and track their progress to identify and place qualified individuals as openings become available
  • Maintain a focus on continuous learning and development
  • Organize and conduct meetings as needed.

In addition to the biannual inventory process, the RVOM may occasionally perform non-exempt duties, such as unloading trailers or merchandising as needed for proper store operation. The incumbent will also perform other duties as assigned from time to time.

  •       Ability to lift, lower, push or pull furniture up to and in excess of 100 lbs.
  •       Ability to stand for long periods of time.

 

Schedule Expectations

  •       A minimum of 40 hours per week; the number of hours worked will increase during the specific Market events, holidays or blackout periods, for vacation coverage, or for other business needs.
  •       Regular attendance at regional stores and other places of business is an essential function of this position and most, if not all, job functions are performed in the field. Please note that this role covers CT/NY. 

Education & Experience Requirements

Required Experience, Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • 5+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management within a retail or 100% Travel Within Region & company meeting locations
  • 3-5 years having worked with retail sales organizations with multi-locations
  • Demonstrated competency in retail store operations and visual merchandising
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
  • Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related business experience
