JobTest3 – MSK Physiotherapist
Clinic based | Harrow | FULL-TIME
Salary £28,000-£35,000
Build your MSK career somewhere designed to help physiotherapists develop.
At Ascenti Physio, part of the Cortera Health Group, we help people get back to moving, working and living with greater confidence. As one of the UK’s leading independent providers of musculoskeletal physiotherapy, we support patients through a wide range of healthcare, insurance and employer pathways.
As an MSK Physiotherapist, you will manage a 100% musculoskeletal caseload while developing your clinical reasoning, treatment skills and confidence with the support of experienced clinicians around you.
If you have already started building your experience in MSK physiotherapy and are looking for an environment where you can keep learning, take greater ownership of your practice and progress your career, this could be an exciting next step.
The role
As an MSK Physiotherapist, you will assess, diagnose and treat patients presenting with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions.
You will manage your own caseload and use your clinical judgement to develop individual treatment and rehabilitation plans, helping patients understand their condition, participate in their recovery and work towards meaningful goals.
You will work independently in clinic, but you will not be expected to develop alone. You will have access to support from your Area Manager, Physiotherapy Development Lead and Clinical Mentor, alongside structured learning and development throughout your career with Ascenti.
Our digital systems and dedicated customer support teams also help manage patient queries and administration, allowing you to focus more of your time on delivering high-quality clinical care.
What your working week will look like
You will spend the majority of your working week treating a varied MSK caseload in clinic, managing patients from initial assessment through to rehabilitation and discharge.
Your appointments will include new patient assessments, follow-up consultations and rehabilitation, alongside time for clinical documentation and professional development.
You will work autonomously and take responsibility for your own clinical decision-making, with experienced clinical and operational support available when you need guidance or a second opinion.
Depending on the opportunity available, we may also be able to explore full-time, part-time, flexible or condensed working patterns.
What you will be doing
• Assessing and treating patients with a broad range of musculoskeletal conditions
• Using evidence-informed clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment and rehabilitation plans
• Helping patients understand their condition and involving them in decisions about their care
• Delivering progressive rehabilitation programmes based on individual goals and clinical need
• Identifying clinical risks and red flags and taking appropriate action where onward referral is required
• Maintaining clear, accurate and timely clinical records
• Managing your caseload effectively while maintaining a positive patient experience
• Working collaboratively with clinical and operational colleagues across Ascenti
• Taking an active role in your own learning, reflection and professional development
Who we are looking for
We are looking for a qualified Physiotherapist who is passionate about developing their career in musculoskeletal practice.
You will need:
• A recognised qualification in Physiotherapy
• Current HCPC registration
• Experience and a genuine interest in MSK physiotherapy
• Strong clinical reasoning and an understanding of safe, evidence-informed practice
• The confidence to communicate clearly and build rapport with patients
• An understanding of consent, dignity and shared decision-making
• The ability to work autonomously while recognising when to seek support or escalate concerns
• A positive approach to feedback, learning and continuous professional development
Training and career development
Developing great MSK clinicians is a major part of what we do.
You will have access to structured learning and development, protected learning time and support from experienced clinicians as you continue building your MSK knowledge, clinical reasoning and practical skills.
Your development will be tailored to your experience and the areas in which you want to grow.
As you progress, there are opportunities to develop into a Senior MSK Physiotherapist and explore wider career pathways across clinical practice, leadership, specialist services and other areas of Ascenti and the wider Cortera Health Group.
