Senior Legal Manager
About the Role
Help ARX Robotics develop and deliver autonomous ground systems with sound legal decisions behind them. As Senior Legal Expert within Corporate Services, you’ll guide contracts, export controls, corporate matters and employment law, helping teams navigate the legal requirements of defence technology.
You’ll initially be the sole legal professional, handling the work directly and engaging external legal support when needed. It’s an opportunity to shape practical legal processes while working closely with the people developing the technology and growing the business.
What You’ll Build
-
Shape contracts with government customers, partners, suppliers and contractors, from counterparty due diligence and legal review to negotiation and signing.
-
Develop legal positions for claims and litigation, alongside clear contract management policies, procedures and power of attorney templates.
-
Establish the regulatory path for military and dual-use goods and technologies: classify them, prepare documentation and coordinate permits and licences with the State Service of Export Control of Ukraine and other regulators.
-
Support international and intragroup transfers of equipment, components and technologies, advising on customs, foreign exchange requirements and import and technology-transfer risks.
-
Support corporate decisions through accurate documentation, amendments to constitutional documents and intragroup agreements, liaising with notaries and state registrars.
-
Help structure ownership rights to local engineering developments, including product upgrades, integration and adaptation.
-
Strengthen anti-corruption procedures and defence procurement compliance, identifying and escalating conflicts of interest and contractual compliance risks.
-
Guide responses to government, law enforcement and regulatory requests, and provide legal support during audits.
-
Help HR manage employment and personnel administration lawfully, identifying legal risks as the company grows.
-
Support military registration and employee reservation processes with the responsible administrative colleagues, including arrangements for deferral from mobilisation.
What You Bring
-
4+ years of experience in similar legal roles.
-
Proven hands-on experience with export controls and military and/or dual-use goods. This is essential for the role.
-
Experience managing contracts with government customers, including claims handling and litigation.
-
A university degree in law.
-
Experience working with government, law enforcement and regulatory authorities.
-
Readiness to work independently as the sole legal professional initially, handling day-to-day tasks without direct reports.
Please note: You do not need to meet every single requirement to apply. We welcome motivated candidates who are eager to grow into the role and develop their expertise further.
Nice to Have
-
Experience working within a parent/subsidiary structure or corporate group.
-
Experience in a company with a fast-paced decision-making environment.
-
Working proficiency in English.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary and benefits package
- Opportunity to work with a highly innovative, international, and dynamic team
- Room for professional growth and development
- Participation in the company's success, with access to regular events, knowledge exchange and meetups
