We are looking for a Linux/Unix Systems Engineer to join our Systems Operations team (8 people). This role balances the management of a robust and business-critical Linux infrastructure with the evolution toward modern Platform Engineering methodologies and automation.

What will you do on a daily basis?
- Ensure the high availability, performance, and security of our internal systems platforms and database solutions.
- Guarantee the operational stability of key services (storage platforms, DNS, hosting, and email services).
- Drive internal process and reporting automation, exploring the use of AI Engineering to reduce manual tasks.
- Participate in the team's on-call rotation (24/7) to ensure service continuity.
Technical Profile & Requirements:
- Languages: English is a mandatory requirement for this role (working language).
- Systems: Solid experience in administering Linux infrastructure (Red Hat/CentOS/RockyLinux, Debian).
- Automation: Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, Perl) and configuration management tools such as Ansible.
- Platform Engineering: Experience with or a strong interest in modern environments utilizing Kubernetes (k8s), Terraform, and Helm.
- Networking: Basic knowledge of networking and routing protocols (such as BGP).
- Mindset: No fear of taking over responsibility for complex systems and troubleshooting issues autonomously.
Nice to have (A plus, but not mandatory):
- Previous experience with traditional Unix systems (such as Solaris).
- Knowledge of German.
