About us:

Arsys is a European provider of internet presence services. We are the best-selling web hosting company in Spain, at least at the moment. We sell other products related to the Internet, and in the last years, we have focused on selling Cloud products (because they are very in demand in the industry). Currently, we have 450 employees in Spain, most of them are in Logroño because is the original office, and we have, moreover, the main Data Center, but we have 5 more offices in Spain. 

An important thing to highlight is that in 2013, we were bought by IONOS Group, which at this moment was called 1&1. Do you know about this brand? There, we have 4000 employees around the world in 10 companies, but in 16 countries. 

However, to be part of IONOS Group, we are part of a bigger group called United Internet, where we have 9.000 employees in 16 companies. Like you have an idea, we are a Russian doll. 

But to clarify, the position that you applied for is to be contracted by Arsys (because you are in Spain, but you will work with colleagues of Arsys and the IONOS company too).

What you can expect:

• We rely on self organized teams, agile methodology and an open mindset. Currently, the team consists of six people and is located in Spain and Germany.

• Our tech stack includes Java, Camunda, Docker, Opensearch and GraphQL.
• We all are free to visit (international) conferences, as a speaker or as an attendee.
• We live DevOps - Operations and Development in our department are working hand in hand.

What we expect: 

• You are experienced in backend development, ideally in the Java ecosystem, and interested in working with the Camunda process engine.
• You know modern craftsmanship methods (e.g. clean code, TDD, BDD, DDD).
• We work in an international company, you should be fluent in English.

Our technology stack:

• Our business logic is implemented with the camunda business process engine and Java (Jakarta EE) adapters.
• On our APIs, we use REST and GraphQL.
• Our local development setup is based on docker.
• Our logging and monitoring is running on an Opensearch stack.
• Our infrastructure is rolled out mainly with Ansible. We use Jenkins and GoCD in parallel for application deployments.
