What we do:

Our collective future is being built in the physical world, but the builders of tomorrow’s technology can no longer rely on yesterday’s tools. At Arena, we’re building the world’s first AI industrial engineer designed to solve the most complex hardware and manufacturing challenges. Our product, Atlas, is built with an understanding of the behavior of physical systems, powered by a superior knowledge of core domains of physics. Paired with its ability to reason about multimodal industrial data, Atlas can test, debug, optimize, and repair physical systems and products in the real world. About the role:

As a Software Engineer at Arena, you will collaborate closely with customers to build end-to-end multi-agent systems, develop AI agents and models, and play a key role in scaling Arena's products. Engineers own the entire solution lifecycle—from problem identification and designing data-driven solutions to implementing them and demonstrating their value in real-world scenarios.

On a day-to-day basis, you'll operate like a startup CTO, working with both customers and cross-functional Arena teams to develop end-to-end systems in small, agile groups with fast timelines. Your responsibilities will include designing systems, analyzing large datasets, developing customized applications built on Arena’s product stack, interacting with users, and training AI models.

Responsibilities:

• Spearhead the development of the next generation of machine learning software, focusing on Core Intelligence (ML Modeling), Telemetry (Impact & Algorithmic Health), and AI interfaces.
• Drive the creation of new features or custom applications, either by extending Arena's products or developing tailored solutions.
• Prototype innovative ideas and push the boundaries of what's possible.

You Have:

• Demonstrated enthusiasm and knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning concepts.
• Proven ability to write clean, efficient code.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex issues into manageable components.
• Excellent communication skills with empathy for end-users, ensuring usability across UI, API, and SDKs.

Requirements:

• Willingness to work in our NYC office 5 days a week. Relocation assistance is available.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to customer locations, with travel making up approximately 10%-15% of your time.

The base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $225,000 yr. However, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base salary, we also offer competitive equity and benefits packages.
