Your Mission as Appinio’s Senior Global Event Marketing Manager

We’re looking for an experienced, strategic, and commercially-minded Senior Global Event Marketing Manager to lead Appinio’s global event strategy. You’ll create and execute standout events, from major trade shows to intimate experiences that drive brand awareness, pipeline growth, and deepen customer engagement.

This role demands a sharp strategic mind, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships while delivering measurable business impact. You’ll bring a network of event contacts, excel at vendor negotiation, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own the global event strategy—from planning and execution to post-event analysis—spanning large-scale expos and curated executive experiences across the market research industry and key verticals
  • Align events with business goals, collaborating with Sales, Research, and Marketing to maximise impact
  • Negotiate with vendors, agencies, and partners to secure best-in-class outcomes at the best possible value
  • Leverage your network of contacts to access leading industry events, suppliers, speakers, and collaborators
  • Collaborate with Sales, and Marketing teams across Lifecycle, Product, and Social to create integrated pre- and post- event campaigns to effectively amplify reach and engagement
  • Drive speaking opportunities and compelling thought leadership, working with internal leaders developing content and presence
  • Lead on-site event execution, managing logistics and ensuring an outstanding experience for attendees and stakeholders
  • Measure and optimise for ROI, meticulously tracking KPIs, and sharing clear learnings and insights with the wider team
  • Continuously improve and influence wider business event processes with a scalable, innovative, and results-driven mindset

You will thrive in this role if

  • You have 5+ years of B2B event marketing experience, in the market research industry
  • You're a seasoned veteran of the market research industry, with deep expertise and strong industry insight enabling you to spot and pursue high-impact partnership and sponsorship opportunities
  • You’ve successfully designed and executed strategic event programs that deliver measurable results
  • You’re highly personable, able to initiate and nurture meaningful relationships with event organisers, industry partners, and community leaders to gain access to strategic opportunities
  • You’re a skilled negotiator, highly confident securing the best terms from vendors, venues, and partners
  • You’re data-driven, fluent in event KPIs, ROI tracking, and performance analysis
  • You’re proactive, self-driven, and a seasoned project manager—skilled at navigating multiple deadlines, budgets, and senior-level cross-functional stakeholders with ease
  • You’re a compelling communicator with excellent copywriting, messaging and content creation skills
  • You’re experienced with tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar marketing and CRM platforms
  • You’ve delivered standout events and built a trusted network of partners and collaborators you can activate quickly
  • You’re open to some international travel and flexible working hours in line with the nature of events
  • You’re fluent in English; German is a strong plus and are located in the UK or Germany

What’s in it for you?

  • Flexibility Policy - Our flexibility policy means there is no hard cap on the number of vacation days you can take.
  • Temporary work from abroad - If you're based in the EU, you can work outside your country of residence for up to 180 days per year.
  • All the hardware you need and your own MacBook
  • If you are located in Hamburg or Berlin, you'll get a Deutschland ticket or access to a mobility budget with the NAVIT app to get you to and from the office space.
  • If you are located in Germany or Spain, you will have access to a Subsidised Urban Sports Club membership.
  • In case you’re located in one of the cities where most of our fellow Appinioneers are (Hamburg, Berlin, Munich, London, Madrid, Barcelona, or New York), you can get access to our Co-working spaces.
