Senior People Operations Partner (m/f/d) - Spain/France
Allow us to introduce ourselves
Hello there! We’re Appinio, the fastest (and coolest) market research platform. On a mission to make the world a little more fact-based, we help companies understand how consumers think and make better data-driven decisions.
We started out in Hamburg back in 2014 but we’re now humbled to call the world our playground, with over 260 employees spread across 15 countries (we’re remote-first), 2600+ international clients, delivering research from +190 markets, globally.
Want to be a part of the Appinio movement? 🚀
Your Mission as a Senior People Operations Partner (m/f/d)
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior People Operations Partner to join our People Team and create unique employee journeys at Appinio that reflect our special culture while enabling international growth.
As a Senior People Operations Partner you will be the key driver to ensure our employee life is hassle-free from the day-to-day world by turning the typical "HR Services" work into what feels like a "prime" experience, surpassing conventional HR expectations. You will challenge the status quo and prioritise real talent issues, setting global foundational processes and frameworks that our internal customers love. You will take ownership from day 1 and have a tangible impact on the business.
What you’ll be doing:
- Responsible for driving all employee experience topics internationally (from contract management and onboarding to offboarding, visa processes, and employee requests) while delivering an outstanding employee experience
- Manage our international payroll processes in our active payroll markets (currently Germany, Spain, France, Portugal, the Netherlands, the UK, and the US) while closely collaborating with our employer of records partner
- Be a role model for the People Enablement Team on solving various employees questions and challenges; coaching the team on best practices from your own experience
- Support managers and senior leadership in their day-to-day challenges while giving them guidance and coaching on concrete People topics (and beyond)
- Partnering with the rest of the People Enablement Team as well as the People Leadership team on building holistic People approaches and frameworks that support our overarching employee goals, such as internal events, performance management, and engagement
You will thrive in this role if:
- You have a degree in Business Administration, Economics, HR Management, or similar- or at least 3 years experience in the field.
- You have in-depth knowledge and passion about the "operational" side of People (however, you do want to challenge the status quo of the "HR admin" world"), such as onboarding and terminations
- You have in-depth international payroll experience, especially in Spain and/or France, (US, UK knowledge is a plus)
- Ideally, you have some people partner experience where you supported managers/senior stakeholders on various matters (or you have the curiosity to grow into it!)
- You have a great sense of empathy, excellent organisational talent, and pragmatism
- You have outstanding communication skills as well as a proactive mindset
- You do not shy away from rolling up your sleeves while setting up scalable frameworks and processes
What’s in it for you?
- Flexibility Policy - meaning there is no hard cap on the number of vacation days
- Work-from-anywhere Policy - If you're based in the EU, you can work outside your country of residence for up to 180 days per year.
- All the hardware you need and your own MacBook
- In case you're located in Hamburg or Berlin, you'll get a Deutschlandticket or access to a mobility budget with the NAVIT app to get you to and from the office space
- In case you are located in Germany or Spain, you will have access to a Subsidised Urban Sports Club membership
- In case you’re located in one of the cities where most of our fellow Appinioneers are (Hamburg, Berlin, London, Madrid, New York), you can get access to our Co-working spaces
